Fair is fair. Tell Senator Byrd
that if he won't do the right thing on Alito, then he needs to give back the $88,000 in campaign contributions that he took from MoveOn.

That money was raised dollar-by-dollar, quarter-by-quarter from committed liberals and progressives, many of whom really didn't have it to spare, most of whom were led to believe he was something he so obviously isn't.

While not legally necessary, it is morally imperative.

Byrd caved to the Religion Industry with his decision. He doesn't need our money. Let him take theirs.

1. Agreed
and all senators who have accepted money from the 'Radical Liberal' group MoveOn.org should return the money so that it can be spent on candidates with backbones and concern for our Constitution

2. Sent...
To those Senators who feel it is 'dangerous' to vote the way 'radical liberals' (ie: your BASE) think they should, I believe it is only fair that those who will not stand up for the liberal platform of MoveOn.org and who will not stand up for our civil rights and who will not stand up for our Constitution, return ALL money recieved from the MoveOn.Org PAC so that it may be better spent on those who actually have a desire to preserve our Constitution and Bill of Rights. To those who will let a man with the belief in the Unitary Executive authority advance to the highest court in the land, I say RETURN THE MONEY! You are Republican-light and you WILL NOT return to office. I and every person that is sending you a fax, email or phone call this weekend will make VERY sure of that.

3. I admit that I was tremendously disappointed
in his decision. You'd think someone so emotionally attached to the Constitution would spring to it's defense.

4. His emotional attachment to the Constitution
is far outweighed by his mortal fear of the Religion Industry.

Byrd fails to understand that the people he has capitulated to are the same ones here in WV who call him "Sheets Byrd."

These Religion Industry operatives who buried him in phone calls and e-mails were never going to vote for him in the first place. James Dobson is snickering up his sleeve even as I type.

5. My bad. Sorry for the misinformation
Turns out MoveOn gave over EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS to Byrd.

This is disgusting in the extreme.
