Who is this guy Cliff Schecter? |
|
I just heard him on MSRNC take apart some repub shill. It was great - he wouldn't let the asshole talk over him and he ridiculed him ("Brad") as stupid. I've seen him before and he definitely is one Dem with cojones. Want to see more of him!

1. I've seen him before; he's very good. |
|
Quick on his feet - great timing and comebacks. I haven't a clue who he is other than he's a Dem Strategist.

2. He's done some kick ass appearances recently |
|
There are a few videos of him on YouTube where he is a bit more "feisty" than your typical Alan Colmsian Democrat.

who has been a political writer, announcer and gadfly since the early 70s in Boston, one of my favorites.

7. He's still around and the years haven't mellowed him, either |
|
I see articles of his from time to time in radical left wing commie rags. You know, the only places you can find the truth.

4. He somehow escaped the captivity program |
|
Real Democrats with the moxie to go on the talk shows and get their point across have been relegated to a capture program that keeps them confined and off the nation's airwaves. Schecter somehow escaped and occasionally gets on a cable show, where he usually acquits himself quite well. He stays on message, anticipates (or has done his homework so he knows) the GOP talking points of the day and refutes them to devastating effect, and doesn't give an inch when the host and the Republic guest would try to bulldoze him.
Enjoy him while you can; I suspect the word is circulating even now among most Republic mouthpieces and will soon spread to the media producers that Schecter is persona non grata. Of course, the virus of Democratic pride may be spreading; I heard Alan Colmes actually reared up on his hind legs for a split second on Faux. These could be dangerous times to be a mindless Republic talking point dispenser.

From the brief bio on AMERICAblog:
Cliff Schecter is a new friend and author of Cliff's Rant, appearing on AMERICAblog every Friday. Cliff is a political satirist, columnist and consultant based in Washington D.C. He's consulted for numerous candidates and organizations including former President Bill Clinton, Virginia Governor Mark Warner, the DNC and U.S. State Department.
Cliff was a political analyst for the Sinclair Broadcast Group (yes, THAT Sinclair) in 2004, debating Armstrong Williams at significantly less cost to the White House. He's appeared on over 150 programs on CNN, CNBC, NPR, FoxNews and other stations, and has written for Knight Ridder, The American Prospect, Salon.com, The Miami Herald and The Fordham Urban Law Journal, among other outlets. Cliff blogs at www.gadflyer.com
Cliff's a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received an MA in International Affairs from Columbia University. He's currently a Graduate Honors Fellow at American University, getting his Ph.D. in American History
I like him too.
