I just want to point out the historical ramifications of our win
No Senate election has EVER SEEN ONE PARTY SWEEP ALL OF THE OTHER PARTY'S VULNERABLE SEATS

Since 1954, the incumbent reelection rate has been around 90%
In each of the last four House elections, at least 97% of incumbents have won reelection
Only 13 of the nations's 435 House seats changed parties in 2004
Only TWICE since 1974 did more than 10% of seats change party hands in the House.

The best indicator to forcast who will win an open seat is how the district voted in the most recent Presidential record

WE HAVE WON AGAINST "CONVENTIONAL" WISDOM

5. And we won against the phone jamming and....
AGAIN...the MACHINES...I was wondering...

How many more seats would we have gotten if the machines weren't used? How many did we "actually" win?

It's about time we Americans woke up...I will now capitalize the letter "A" again...I've been so ashamed of our Country...for 6 long, miserable years...the nightmare is over...almost...

We now have to "find out" and assess the damages...and fix it...everything the repukes broke!

6. Don't forget women's history
Exactly 90 years and 1 day after Jeannette Rankin* became the first woman was elected to Congress, we now have a MADAM speaker.

*Elected on Nov. 6, 1916, to represent Montana. Interestingly, she was a pacifist and a Republican!

7. Dems Win Was STUNNNING and Practically MIRACULOUS!!!
And make no mistake, this is not JUST a win, it's a mandate. A REAL mandate. Not some piddling, bullshit, contrived from a questionable victory-w/-.5%- of-the-vote "man-date". But a stunning repudiation; a clear, convincing, pure, undeniable mandate (that for some reason no one is acknowledging as such). And let no one tell you otherwise. This win was STUNNING considering the fraud, the disenfranchisement and The GERRYMANDERING (imagine if things were districted merely FAIRLY!!!). And we STILL kicked their asses and made history taking the both houses, the governorships, the state legislatures and not single incumbent Dem going down!!! Practically a miracle, seriously, and I'm an atheist.

11. mandate (that for some reason no one is acknowledging as such)
That is a puzzler. What could be clearer? State Legislatures, Governorships, zero losses in the House and Senate; it's a mandate for change.

If the media will not call it that then the major league Democrats need to be saying so loud and long.

12. Well, Not Really A Puzzler, Just More Evidence of the Media Bias
They refuse to give this victory the signficance it deserves. It is monumental, historical, decisive and clear and they will do their best to downplay it.

8. Thanks for that!
Great counter for someone (a Repub) who told me yesterday that this win was inevitable, that it's just a cyclical thing, similar to 1994.

16. For the first time since the Guttenberg Press was invented
have a large percentage of a population of people been informed about what's going on without government, or in that case the Church of Rome, "filtering" the information.
