Bush was a GREAT Governor of Texas?????? |
|
per some talking head on MSNBC.
Oh My Aching Ass.
WE are the ones who have had to live with a corrupt state government that was gerrymandered so fucking bad we can't get good candidates elected. HE is the one that privatized our CHIPS program to some corporation in Bermuda (I believe) that stole all the money so that hundreds of thousands of kids lost their healthcare. HE is the one that deregulated the electric companies that made us vulnerable to the gouging that is going on now. HE is the one who helped pass the lawsuit "reform"--you know the one that a hospital can kill you and get away with it. That is unless you are very rich and your life is worth "something", then you can sue.
Yeah, George Bush was a GREAT Governor of Texas.
A GREAT BIG FUCKING FAILURE.

He is the one on there now. My back was turned when he said it, but it sounds like his voice.

2. Bush DESTROYED the Texas I once loved and grew up in. |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-09-06 11:34 AM by DesertedRose
Worse than Bill Clements....worse than any other governor, D or R. Bar none.
I don't even recognize Texas anymore when I go to visit family and friends.
And I certainly won't be going back to live there, which is a damn shame.

5. This shit is really starting to piss me off |
|
The man was a miserable failure of a governor and his campaign to unseat Ann Richards was one of the great low points in the history of dirty politics. He ran this state into the ground like he did every "business" he ever ran.

7. We really, REALLY need the Fairness Doctrine reinstated.....SOON |
|
Else what you're seeing now will (continue to) be the norm from the M$M: an attempt to alter public opinion against Dems for the next two years while the Dems try to clean up behind Bunnypants.

His "ooo please don't kill me" schtick especially must have brought many a multiple orgasm.

16. He ruined our schools with his property tax cut. |
|
Middle class homeowners saved about $52 a year, but the schools lost out on millions. He was a lazy SOB even then. One of his daily guber-natorial duties was to feed the twins' cats.

17. The way Molly Ivins described it... |
|
he was mainly a figurehead and a bad one at that.
One of the problems with Shrubby McChimpster is he thought that prezidentin was gonna be just like governorin, basically sit back and delegate, dump on people below you when problems come up, and take all the credit when something goes right.

Rummy had to fall on his sword, but Bush is the Commander-in-Chief who didn't know how to delegate right.
