Welcome to DU! Stay for a while, you'll like it here. Sure, we bicker over everything, especially gun control, religion, Israel/Palestine, and smoking, but in the end, we proverbially kiss and make up, and come together to work for a common cause when need be. That's a far cry from another internet forum which shall be left unnamed; said forum is decidedle antithetical to open debate and healthy discourse. But I digress...

Here at Democratic Underground, you will find that we are (in my opinion) a community of concerned persons who all have one thing in common: the best interests of the United States of America, with a particular focus on the working class. That stands in stark contrast to the individuals across the political aisle, who are primarily concerned with what is best for themselves, and/or what is best for the top 1%, y'know, the upper echelon that totally NEEDS government handouts. :eyes:

OK, enough of my pontificating. If you're here, you've obviously already figured this stuff out for yourself. So, in conclusion I will say,
