Anyone got a list of Secretary of State races we won?
I tried to post this earlier but somehow it ended up in LBN.

Anywho, since the 2000 and 2004 races have proved that the most important position of power is Secretary of State and their ability of mess with elections and suppress voters, how many of these races did we win and how many states do Democrats control?

We need to start targeting these jobs as one of the highest priorities as far as elected positions go.

4. Kansas reelected a moderate GOPher on Tuesday
He's an old school moderate GOPher, i.e. not a religious RW fanatic. He's actually been okay. More than a few people I have talked to about him have seen him pop up at Democratic events. They described him as someone who joined the GOP because of his family but doesn't really get involved with GOP politics. I had questions about voting machines and his office was pretty responsive to those questions. So, although I voted for the Dem, I don't have too much of a problem with Thornburgh.

fwiw, the Democratic SOS candidate got about 30% of the vote. Our Democratic governor was reelected with about 60% of the vote and my fellow Kansans were smart enough to vote overwhelming to get rid of our idiot GOP AG, Phill Klein. Klein's successor, Paul Morrison, has said he will focus on crimes against Kansans and not spend his entire tenure going after abortion clinics like Klein did.
