2. It must be TOP PRIORITY! We have no place else to go!
It may very well be too late already.

We need top scientists working non-stop to find solutions to this global catastrophe.

3. It's all interrelated. By taking Congress, we control what new...
...legislation is written, what passes (barring veto, which can still be overturned) and, perhaps most importantly, the power to investigate the corruption in this administration. Think of it like we've put the brakes on and turned in the right direction.

4. It better be
This is the single most important issue facing us today. Bush will probably veto any legislation that they pass, but it will only make him look like an even bigger loser and will likely force the next administration to deal with the problem, be it Republican or Democrat.

6. Well, my new rep
based a lot of his campaign on the environment and global warming. He's Peter Welch from Vermont, and his is a strong environmentalist. In any case, I suspect that the environment and global warming will be a great concern of the dems.

7. In name only, I'm sure
It's not as if we'll stop what we're doing. We'll make it more efficient, we'll throw some more technology at it, but we won't really change anything since nobody will be stopping growth.

Anyone? Anyone? Everybody wants everything.
