4. He was the epitome of class and professionalism in whatever journalistic |
|
endeavor he was involved in: As CBS News Saigon Correspondent during the Viet Nam War, or covering Jimmy Carter's 1976 campaign, or doing investigative pieces for "60 Minutes". Not only was his reporting sophisticated and intelligent, the man himself was just flat-out cool.
He will be sorely missed, not just by family and friends, or those in the journalism profession, but by everyone who followed his career.

7. Henry Champ just broke down while describing his and Ed's friendship |
|
which dates back to their days reporting in Viet Nam. I was surprised to see Henry, who is always an unflappable reorter for CBC, lose it. He admired and had a great affection for Mr. Bradley, which seems to be the general feeling in the journalistic world. To me, he always came across as a gentle, intelligent and honest person. RIP Ed Bradley.

14. Yeah. That Katherine Willey interview really enhanced his reputation... |
|
I so trusted him after that.
:sarcasm:
Sorry, I'm not letting that one slip by. Dan Rather got fired for less IMHO.

17. I always admired him for showing that someone could be dressed |
|
properly for work without becoming a Brooks Brothers clone. That diamond earring was liberating for a lot of people. At one time, it was considered unprofessional in many quarters for blacks to wear their hair in a natural style. Maybe it still is in some quarters.
