The American people spoke on election day. They voted overwhelmingly to put the Democratic Party in charge of this country. "We have a mandate" from the American public. America wants the Democrats in charge. They want us in charge so we can "win the war on terror", and clean up all the mistakes the Republicans have caused.......to fix the mistake caused when the Republicans took their eye off Osama Bin Laden and instead invaded Iraq. They want us to fix the mistakes caused by the Republicans when they gave tax cuts to their rich corporate buddies and left the average American deeper in debt. They want us to fix the economy that the Spend-on-Credit Republicans broke, to clean up the government that Republican corruption has so deeply tarnished. They want us to restore the checks and balances that this nations Founding Fathers saw fit to use as a corner-stone to build this great nation upon. They want us to restore "the rule of law", because in this country NO ONE is above the law.

We need to address the issue of "activist judges", those right-wing judges who want to re-interpret the constitution to fit their own personal ideological or extremist religious beliefs. This country was founded on the principals of free-speach, religious tolerance, and the idea that anyone can rise as high in life as they are willing to work to achieve. America is the greatest nation on earth because any American from even the lowliest of backgrounds can rise to the very top of society, not because the pampered and privileged, those who's parents achieved great things, want to protect their inherited place in life by abusing the power that was given to them. Those who work hard and achieve power on their own merits know how to properly use that power. Those who had power given to them, sometimes have to have that power taken away so they can learn not abuse what they were given.

As the Democratic Party steps forward to do the peoples bidding and lead this country into the future, as we work to remove the stains upon our honor and restore our good name among all the peoples of the world, we ask for all Americans to join with us for the long hard work ahead. Yes, because of the unconscionable abuses of power over the last 6 years our nation came very close to being irreparably broken. The American people did not let that happen, instead stepping forward and with one voice demanding change. Demanding that the Democratic Party step forward and lead. This will be hard work, and we need every person to step forward now and do their part.

The time of putting party ahead of Nation has come to an end. Putting party first, as we have seen these last 6 years, leads only to failure. America has asked the Democratic Party to step forward and lead, and you are "either with us or against us". You either support the Democrats as they heal this Nation and restore her glory and good name, or you cling to the same party first ideas that this country has been run on these last 6 years.

The Democrats have been asked to lead, and we accept.

What are the ones I missed, and how many more do you guys think we can work into a statement like this?
