With a Democratic House and Senate, Al Gore may seriously consider...
another run for the White House? I have felt all along that he would not want to be President where he would be opposed at every step by a Republican Congress. However, this election changes the picture for Al Gore. He wants to be an agent of change. He is an "idea" man. He believes America can lead the world in technology and environmental progress. We may see more reports about this in the next few days.

1. I met Al Gore in Brussels a few weeks ago for the opening
of his film in Europe. I was impressed with Gore and the film. He would make a great President. I think. My only concern is whether he might simply be too divisive. Not as much as Senator Clinton of course, but I would really like to see a person who would be decent and acceptable to about 60% of the population. I have written off the other 40 anyway.

2. If that's how he makes his decision , he doesn't deserve it.
Besides, he couldn't beat the idiot. He certainly couldn't beat a real candidate.

4. He DID beat "The Idiot."
Only the Supreme Court stopping the recount gave it to Smirk.

7. last I looked he did get 550,000 more votes than the idiot
and had the Florida recount been allowed to take place most people believe he would have taken the electoral vote as well.

6. I still have my doubts
but a Gore/Barack ticket would be very exciting.

8. While my ideal ticket is Gore paired with someone along the same
ideals--like John Edwards.
It isn't a prudent match.
I think Gore DESERVES his chance to run this country. It was stolen from him and I think he would do a great job.
However, I think we need a polar opposite for his VP choice.
Someone very centrist and moderate (yeah I just said that).
I'm thinking a Wesley Clark type match. Someone along those lines.

9. Gore is my dream candidate.
Many republicans who see his movie really like him. Including my hubby, who recently became a registered Dem. ;)

True poetic and patriotic irony to say the least.

12. It was the Dems sticking their necks out and taking the hits day after day post 9-11

who showed what they are made of.

Gore has stuck his neck out enough during the last 4 years, that he could make a case for another run.

Those who held back letting others take all the hits WITHOUT BACKING THEM UP can go FOCK OFF.

You weren't there for the firing of Rumsfeld after Abu Ghraib, you weren't there for swiftboating, you weren't there for DSMs, you weren't there for Censure, you weren't there for Alito filibuster, and you weren't there for Iraq withdrawal.

14. I'd rather have Gore as a candidate than Kerry.
I'm a Hillary primary voter, at this point, but I'd seriously consider voting for Gore. He could win, especially with the right running mate. He could pick Obama as his running mate, where Hillary probably couldn't (overcoming prejudice against women is hard enough, but to overcome it against women and blacks would be almost impossible at this time in our history).
