Hearings first. Hearings and witnesses produce more evidence, THEN Impeachment. |
|
Conyers and the Dems aren't going to barge right in and try to impeach.
First hold hearings, and get all the evidence, for all the world to see.
THEN Impeachment gets put back ON the table.
Patience, grasshopper. There is a plan, imho.
I didn't hear Pelosi or Conyers say that investigations and hearings were off the table. First things first, okay?

1. I hope this is what they have in mind, and they haven't made some |
|
deal to not pursue any investigations into activities of the GOP/Bush Administration. I have to believe they are going to investigate and proceed from there, but I don't like the inference that there won't be any impeachment. How could they possibly know at this point without investigations?

4. They simply can't know that Impeachment is off the table forever. |
|
What if they hold a hearing and uncover impeachable offenses staring them in the face? (I think they will find such things.)
The hearings are covered by the press, CSPAN, etc. There will be a groundswell for impeachment then if criminal acts are uncovered for all the world to see. And it will be their duty to bring impeachment charges.

Everyone must know why impeachment is unavoidable. It must be spelled out very clearly.

3. Hearings will also expose how deep, how many republicans are corrupt |
|
taint the party name with what it has earned "corrupt, lying, cheating, slimeballs". Investigate the heck out of them and take them all down.

6. very much so. Investigations will SHOW people how corrupt they are |
|
Impeachment, and going for Mr.bush and cheney, I can understand the sentiment to take them down, but I want the whole thing uncovered and disgraced and go for biggerthings. Investigations may insure Democratic president 2008. Impeachment, at this point, will look like "you just hate the president". I want bush/cheney in the Hague. Impeachment is too good for them and could be a distraction right now. (me, bitter?)

7. When the crimes make the evening news from the forthcoming investigations |
|
then we'll have what we need to move forward on impeachment.
Pelosi and Conyers know that I'm certain.

We need hearings to get the truth out ther to the public so this abuse of power won't happen again.
Get the evidence out there - and let the chips fall where they may.

9. He should have already been impeached for illegal wiretapping |
|
He broke the law. He admitted it on national TV.
I think if the Dems went after Bush with the force they should, he would resign before the weekend.
