Bob Barr Proves Speaker Pelosi's Stance Correct
I think we all remember Bob Barr, the Georgia congressman whose campaign platform had one plank: impeaching President Clinton. He didn't know why he was going to do it, or on what charges he'd file, but he knew he was going to impeach the president of the United States. When he got into office--his platform being very popular among the people who lived in his district--he spent all his time and a lot of your money trying to figure out a reason to impeach the president.

In the end, he impeached the president on semantics: is "oral sex" the same thing as "sexual relations"?

I don't think there's any doubt in anyone's mind that we will wind up impeaching most of the Bush Administration because all of them need to be in jail. If we go into the next Congress telling everyone we're going to impeach the president, impeachment will consume us as it did Mr. Barr. Furthermore, anyone to the right of Bartcop is going to think we're doing this for "revenge." And it gives Bush more time to prepare to flee the country--and right now, I classify the man as a flight risk.

By performing a proper investigation on these people and publishing the findings, the country (with the exception of the freepers and ldotters) will see that Bush has to go, and quickly. It will also motivate the 16 Republican senators we need to help us out.

By walking in claiming we're going to impeach Bush without "examining all the evidence," they'll circle the wagons around him.

1. on the "sematics"
maybe he should have checked with Newt Gingrich's lawyers to make sure "oral sex" was the same as "sexual relations" ...

2. I fully agree with you
investigations will reveal things, things that we might be aware of but the rest of country has no clue---yet. Let's just take it from there, hopefully once people become aware the call for impeachment will rise from the citizens as it should.
