Jury Duty
I have been unable to share in the elation of the elections because I have been serving Jury Duty. I was locked inside as the votes were being counted... and still there earlier today. Now that's over.

I have a new respect for America and the court system. I have a new positive feeling for America. It was simply amazing. The whole time I felt that I would have to defend my position or lock the jury down. But to my shock, everyone was feeling the same way that I was. Justice was served correctly and fairly today. The prosecutor was pissed. I'm sure the judge was surprised. The defendant's father was boo hoo crying with thanks. I am more renewed at turning America into the America that is right. Lady jusice was truly blind today and holding the scale with the correct balance.

1. Thank you for serving
It had to be hard to be away at a time like this. Hope is a wonderful thing isn't it? It wins over fear every time.

2. It was an interesting case...
3 white police officers 1 black man and an area known for violence and bad relations with police officers and citizens.

I am glad for the clarity of mind of myself and fellow jurors. It was obvious to me... I wasn't sure about the other's... Little did I know that a few felt stronger than myself about the not guilty verdict. I only hope that the young man realizes that a jury of 5 white women and 1 white man was not blinded. AND that he uses the opportunity to realize that there are good people out there and that the whole world is not against him. I hope him the best.

3. You did very well
I'm always amazed to find people who feel as strong, or stronger, than me about an issue. I know I'm a far left winger and will never live in the kind of world I dream about. Just when I think I'm all alone, a kindred spirit comes along and validates me. Welcome back.

4. its strange..
when you become active you are so aware of the attrocities and the abuses of power out there. You almost become biased agaisnt the normals (people that don't pay attention all the time). Anyway, its nice to see that, even though people aren't always paying attention, when it comes down to the details in your face that we can see the truth.
