George Allen > Joe Lieberman
Saying that, even though he has the legal right to ask for a recount, he's gonna respect the voter's wishes and sees no good purpose in expending more money and causing more personal animosity.

It's a shame that it took an election defeat to turn this guy into a grown-up. And it's a bigger shame Lieberman couldn't have been like that in the Primaries.

2. Heh -- that would have been more fun to watch, I admit.
And as I've said, his little girl is more mature than any of Santorum's crybabies.

I hate Allen, but hey, credit where credit's due, right?

and he doesn't care about the voter's wishes or spending money on a recount. He has aspirations for '08; only thinking about himself.

9. Sounded like more of an '08 announcement than
a concession speech....but I'll take it :)

4. I'll admit, it was a respectable move on Allen's part, and I did
not expect it. But don't worry everyone, I'm not forgetting the macaca incident.

5. but he also said
he believes a recount wouldn't change the results - don't give macawitz that much credit - but I do agree with you LIEberman would have called for the recount....

6. Well, he will have more time to watch football now
It was the spector of the SoreLoserman complete with the FReeper with the account name of Registered's graphic morphing the Gore Lieberman campaign poster the Republicans obviously are trying to avoid here.

7. Nah he just knew he was gonna lose the recount
and then he'd look like a sore Loserman himself. He wouldn't do anything altruistic.

8. Allen knew he would lose the recount and damage his image
He's planning a comeback, so he's not going scorched-earth now. Lieberman would like have been done if he had given up after the primary.
