FILLIBUSTER FILLIBUSTER FILLIBUSTER FILLIBUSTER |
|
Over the next month or so we are going to see a whole lot of activity from this lame duck President and Congress to try to ram through legislation and appointments that the American public just RESOUNDINGLY rejected. This was made clear today w/ the announcement that they will try to push through Bolton's nomination. Expect MORE of this in the final days of this Republican Congress.
It is absolutely the Democrats responsibility to OBSTRUCT whatever the Repubs try to ram through during their dwindling days in power. The Dems have a clear, undeniable MANDATE for their agenda and their ideas and their policies. The American public wants DEMOCRATIC legislation and appointments and if necessary it is the RESPONSIBILITY of the Dems to WHATEVER is needed to make sure that the Repubs are not allowed to ram through any of their radical policies, legislation or appointments before we throw their asses onto the street. This means the Dems should have no compunctions about fillibustering and any threat about the "nuke option" now by the Repubs is toothless and idiotic and should be laughed at considering they are gone soon and will be in no position to carry through on that threat since they are facing minority status and may need the fillbuster themselves. Any deals the "gang of 14" have made are now null and void w/ the Dems taking the majority.
Fillibuster. Just do it. Do not allow them to get away w/ ANYTHING. Their agenda is SOUNDLY REJECTED and should NOT be allowed to go forward AT ALL.

But when Congress gets back in session, they better be all business and ready to block all the horrendous shit that the Repubs are going to try to ram down the country's throat.

is smart enough to employ the filibuster on the important items. The less important items can be altered later on in the next Congress. Bolton is a slap in the face and should be dealt with resoundly.

5. Correction: Nancy won't be in the Senate |
|
But I don't think Harry Reid is too amenable to any lame duck shenanigans, either.
