Do not fall for the new bi-partisan rhetoric.
Rove reads Machiavelli, he will do whatever necessary to retain power. Look for Deeds, not words. Getting rid of Rummy was a start, now its time to get rid of Bolton and all the other yes-people.

2. Yes. We now have to contend w/the Bush Surveillance Plan
which he likes to mischaracterize as the 'Terrorist Surveillance Plan'.

Frankly, they had a Plan A (if Cons win) and a Plan B (if Dems win), but their agenda and policy has not budged. They're just implementing Plan B. Bush coming out this morning in front of the cameras to give a 30 second demand and challenge the Dems to see what they're made of said it all.

Democratic incumbents need to get on the networks and radio and expose this charade. Bush is putting his hand out with a hidden gotcha buzzer that Dems see but the public won't.

3. There is this to consider
once they hit the bottom, they have only one place to go. Two years is a lifetime in politics. A savvy replacement for VP when Cheney's health takes him out, and some moderation and change of course policy-wise could change the whole picture for that election.

5. The bi-partisan rhetoric between the Dems and Repubs
or the bi-partisan rhetoric between the moderate Dems and the liberal ones?
