To All the 18 - 30 year olds.... |
|
THANK YOU. The largest turnout of voters in that age group in 20 years. I don't care how you voted but that you VOTED. Hopefully Americans over 30 will catch your enthusiasm in 2 years and jump on the bandwagon. Again, thanks.

3. I fall into that group, and I'm Democratic-born, Democratic-bred, |
|
and when I die, I'll be Democratic-dead. Whether I become more liberal, or more conservative, there is a place for me in the Democratic Party.
I think my generation is on the cusp of being won for life by the Democratic Party. All we need to secure our loyalty is a giant of a presidential candidate in '08.

Shout it out for the 20 somethings. I get very annoyed when people generalize about people in this age group as being lazy, unmotivated voters. My 2 daughters busted their butts to vote in every election, sometimes even requesting absentee ballots. And they are very vocal with their peers, getting out the vote.
Cheers my dears!

7. People who vote once more likely to vote again. Bad news for Pubs because |
|
this group has a lot of Democratic voters.

8. Your welcome. Sadly, I'll be leaving this demo in two years. But |
|
it's been one heckuva ride. 12 years I've waited for this. I remember being dejected in 1994. And everytime I visited Washington in the late 1990's it was under Republican control, but now good times are here again !

9. I worked two weeks of early voting and on election day and I saw lots |
|
of young people vote.
I knew we would have a turn around in Congress.

I was one of the 18-30 year olds, and it was my first time voting! Unfortunately, I live in a very red state so it didn't affect my statewide races much, but the same sentiment seemed to really change things in other states.
Do you know where you got your stats from? I was interested in reading about the voter turnout, but I haven't seen much. Do you have a link to where you read this?
