What's more important? Stopping the killing in Iraq or impeachment?
Come on people- human beings are dying by the hundreds every week in Iraq. Lets first use our new power to stop that, then we can talk about impeachment.

I say, let investigations happen but first, lets stop the killing.

2. Can't we do both
Yanno, with 228 House members (and maybe more to come) and 51 Senate members, I think this party can multi-task

...and there is at least one other option...so your claim that they can only do one or the other is a false binary...

17. It sure is.
As if they'll stop the killing if we let them get away with the REST of their crimes!

6. I think ending the occupation is far too important and should take most of...
...the energy of the new congress. People are dying every single day.

We can get revenge later.

5. Top priority no doubt
Unfortunately I haven't heard any Dem say that is "on the table". Just this nebulous "New direction" that the Bush 41 team is going to help us achieve. I'm not overly comforted.

Stop the killing!!. Investigations will have to be on-going anyway, unless people only want Junior to get a slap on the wrist. As for me.. I want to see him and his creatures go DOWN and that will take some time.. so lets get our priorities in order.

8. I agree wholeheartedly. Our number one priority is bringing
the troops home and doing the diplomatic things that need to be done to restore order in Iraq.

18. Then, fix the Medicare FUBAR and make Big Pharma deal on drug prices
Whittle those tax cuts to the super rich down to stop the bleeding from the Treasury.

Get to work on the budget.

Get the minimum wage raised so people working full time don't have do work full time at TWO jobs just to keep a roof over their heads.

Get the EPA back into the business of Environmental Protection!

Raise standards for drinking water back to something reasonably safe.

Windfall Profit Tax for energy companies who are willing to let Troops die abroad for oil and elderly die at home for want of heat just so they can have outrageous profits.

Meaningful regulation of Lobbyists who are destroying America.

Get to work on the crumbling infrastructure.

Can NCLB and make Neil Bush get a real job. Make sure schools are not forced to give contact info on youngsters to military recruiters!

Restore financial aid to college students to meaningful levels and pass tax credit for tuition paid.

HEALTH CARE HEALTH CARE HEALTH CARE

Repeal that un-American shit called The Patriot Act and all other imperial horse shit passed since 9-11 changed everything in THEIR favor!

Impeachment? Pretty far down the list of things that need to be addressed NOW. A DEM controlled congress, exercising careful oversight, should pretty well neuter the junta. And politicians hate nothing quite so much as scorn.

Scorn the lame duck and hamstring his accomplices. Let them stay put for now. Do some investigating. Get some prosecutors looking toward the future, when they are all out of office and can't hide behind the reality they thought they could create and maintain, let law and order have its way with them.

We have work to do. Handcuff the lame dicks, err, ducks and get on with the business of showing America the Democratic Party has plenty of solutions for problems we all face.

23. And after that start working on overhauling the way we do
elections so that it's next to impossible to rig results. Just because we won this one doesn't mean the system is suddenly starting to work.

9. We must do both and can do both at the same time. Bushco wants
to start WW III and must be stopped. They started an illegal war based on lies. That war and any future wars that they have planned must be stopped, and that will not happen as long as the Commander in Chief and the puppet masters behind him crave control of the oil resources in the region. With Bush/Cheney in office, the danger of a false flag opperation leading to a major conflagration is a real possibility.

10. Stop the war AND do their congressional duty they swore to
Impeachment is not revenge in what Bush and Cheney have done. It's merely is what needs to be done. Perhaps we need to change what Bush said:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." -- Article II, Section 1, clause 8

Grounds for Impeachment:

Lying about the Rationale for the Iraq War

Illegal Wiretapping of American Citizens

Torture of Prisoners

Violation of International Law

Impeachment is a Constitutional duty and stopping the killing is a moral obligation.

12. Iraq should be a higher priority
I think most people who voted Democratic are more interested in ending the Iraq debacle than impeaching the president at this point. The Democrats' priorities should reflect that.

To put the breaks on this runaway train wreck. They see Bush resembling something of a 12yr old, needing parental supervision.

Consider him spanked...now he needs guidance and supervision.

His former parents let him run wild and create one hell of a mess....

As far as Iraq, we need to focus on finding a way out of this fiasco. First priority IMO.
