I just thought of something! We can now fillabuster, and the
lame duck Pubs WON'T dare use the Nuke option because they'd be screwing themselves as the MINORITY in Janury!

1. Re:
The Freepers are trying to use the reality of *'s veto pen tomake themselves feel better. But that's true... we not only have filibuster power but the power to quash any of *'s anti-american legislation.

2. The Dems can get anything passed
just tack it onto an Iraq war spending bill, Bush would never veto that.

4. BINGO
turn about

Good way to force GOP in Congress to vote on stuff they don't like too. That's what they did to our side. They really didn't think it all through, did they.

Oh, and with a DEM grandmother from San Francisco third in line for the Oval Office here in a few weeks, they might wanna reconsider all those imperial powers they gave THE PRESIDENCY too ;) Their worst nightmare might just end up with all the power they foolishly gave TO THE OFFICE of the president.

8. I hadn't thought of that - brilliant.
It'd be great fodder for ads: "Sen. Republican opposed giving our troops the tools to do their job, putting them in danger.." etc. etc.

6. I do hope that our Dems will fillibuster any coo coo legislation
the Pubs try to ram through, like confirming Bolton. Fortunately, they holidays are coming up so there will be a lot of time that they aren't in session, which helps.

7. Well, Shrub has already renominated Bolton!
He also mentioned several other things he wants to push through this lame duck congress BRFORE the Dems take the majority. Since I rarely pay much attention to him, I don't recall just what else he wants.

I really HOPE our current Dems feel as energized as we do, and not let any of this crap pass!
