I sure hope so. Serves Oil Can Cheney right to have to sit there like a lump, stewing in the knowledge that he now has no more power in the Senate than the cleaning lady (no offense to cleaning ladies). All he can do now is just swing a gavel and recite lines.

2. No. Typically they only call the VP in to break tie votes.
He won't be showing his nasty little mug in that chamber any time soon.

3. No. Usually he will only attend if there is a chance his vote will be needed to
break a tie. Otherwise he is mostly there for just the ceremonial stuff.

5. Not any more than any other senator is required to attend and vote
but if he misses a tie breaker that goes against his party and president then he's in hot water.

6. Not exactly true...
Cheney still has the authority and ability to cast tie-breaking votes on any matter. If the Dem's don't keep all of their people together (and remember, the Rep's didn't always do it either), he may still have an opportunity to "weigh" in on issues.

7. Senator's don't show up to Vote.
Why should Cheney be any different?
