A lot, it seems. He must be feeling bloated.

1. Zero
Bush is an entitled little punk, and he probably said, look, if you give me a few things I can sign, I'll do it, but otherwise, fuck you, bitch.

I'd bet he didn't have a thing of substance to say, that Nancy came away from it understanding what a dimwit he is, but that he was very pleasant.

13. True, but...

He knows full well the Dems could expend a tremendous amount of energy making life very unpleasant for him. Hearings, subpoenas, oversight to the max. His "legacy" would be burned toast. Or, he could cooperate in getting meaningful legislation passed that benefits all Americans, and not just his vision of a privileged oligarchy. If Democrats decide to repeat the arrogant, gov't shutting down, impeachment crazed, exclusionary practices of the GOP, their days in the leadership will be numbered. Better that they focus on those things they were elected to do -- getting us out of Iraq at the earliest opportunity, increasing the minimum wage, making affordable health care more available -- than "settling the score". A lot of this also depends on Bush. His shoving Cheney into the background by ditching Rumsfeld is a good sign that he might just be willing to play ball. Perhaps as a way to save his own ass. He may be used to getting what he wants, but at this point he's probably more focused on NOT getting what he doesn't want, which under certain circumstances could include impeachment and removal from office.

6. I think Bush is actually relieved that he doesn't have to play Cheney and Rove's puppet anymore.
I think he really didn't like the role he's been made to play and now he can coast for two years.

I watched him yesterday at his press conference and he really looked better than I had seen him in a while. I think he is headed for two years at the pig farm!!
