Fast forward to next year's State of the Union address: |
|
Traditionally, they begin with the Master at Arms yelling out, "Mister Speaker, the President of the United States!" and the President comes in to applause, etc.
Picture it next year, as the Master at Arms yells out, "Madame Speaker . . . " and the applause for those two words forces him to pause for a full minute or so.

2. Another thought: Pelosi has to sit beside the seat of evil for the address. |

President Bush will not hear the same sort of applause he heard in January 2006, too! Especially if he says, "stay the course."
