1. Impeach is "Off the Table" |
|
because technically we need investigations before we can go there.

3. Easy... I WANT AN IMPEACHMENT |
|
Regardless of what was said, I'm just saying, technically we need investigations...... and we will have them! We still have to watch over the shoulders of our elected leaders... the election is only party of the equation. The rest is up to "We the Tax Payers".

4. O/T... what I want is a link to a STATEMENT BY CONYERS |
|
where he says, in plain language, that impeachment is "off the table." Don't see one, anywhere. And I've looked. Stop EMOTING and start THINKING, please- if he didn't say it, where precisely do you think the spin that he did is coming from? The "liberal media?"

8. What, I'm not supposed to point it out... |
|
when someone makes a statement that doesn't appear to have any connection to reality? (To be clear: not your post, you were just off-topic. Please don't take it personally.)
Again, I see no statement anywhere by Conyers that says what is claimed. I'm being hard-nosed about this because I think it is hysteria. We are, after all, supposed to be the reality-based community, yes? So, let's stick to reality.

The OP has a valid point. They are asking for a link to when Conyers made that statement. Referencing the poster's count is skirting dangerously close to calling out, which is against the rules here.

10. Excuse Me? Who's Calling Who Out? |

Don't even try making this into something it isn't. And I know what the rules are. I was just making a POINT TOO! Mind ya biz.

5. Nancy Pelosi has said it - here's a link to the 60 Minutes transcript |
|
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/10/20/60minutes/main2111089_page3.shtmlI heard her reiterate it yesterday to Wolf on CNN. I haven't heard or read anything about John Conyers saying anything about impeachment. Where did you hear or read that Conyers said this?

heh. Seriously, there is a thread that claims that MSNBC has an article that says Conyers said it, but I find nothing of the kind on MSNBC. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=2661036&mesg_id=2661036">Here is the thread whose title claims it is on MSNBC.

They had no source and they have not posted a story with a link. You are correct - more rumours.
I say investigate everything first. We have time.

15. Thanks - I hadn't seen any of the other threads when I posted - |
|
saw your thread title & jumped in... I did a google search on the words "impeachment is off the table" and Nancy Pelosi's name was the only one that came up.
I find it hard to believe that every media whore would ignore a quote like that if Conyers really said it -

|
of the kind. Nobody has a link. There aren't any results that quote Conyers as saying it from google. Try "Conyers impeach table" and click on the News link after you search.
