You CAN'T go in with the IMPEACHMENT guns blazing...
because you have to have EVIDENCE.

I know! I know! We all see it and all that's been done.

But you have to have it PRESENTED in the proper fashion, by the proper rules.

That's called INVESTIGATIONS and HEARINGS.

SO, as of right now, IMPEACHMENT has to be "off the table" because there is noting in the 'official' arena to justify it.

Wait people... wait till we can chant "RULE OF LAW, RULE OF LAW" at them, rather than screaming like raving madmen.

We're better than that.

3. I couldn't agree with you more.
Impeachment has to be the result of a sane, mature, studied approach, investigating and collecting evidence, reaching the truth about their corruption and deliberate disregard of the rule of law. We have to be the voice of reason, law and truth. THEN we impeach them.

13. The odds are that the clock will run out before WHAMMO occurs.
Life is not fair and many fail to get what they deserve, while many get what they do not deserve. Some underlings may fall, but Bush will probably survive. Do the hearing and investigations and take from them what you can get.

5. I agree.
Investigations first and if there's enough evidence and support, then you take the next step.

6. thats right
First things first, investigate and let it lead the way to wherever it goes. Even if they forget about what is passed the bush* cabal will give them plenty of opportunities these next 24 + months.

7. Which would you rather destroy.... Shrub or the entire Rethuglican Party?
Hell, the amount of SLIME that will surface from the investigations will lead to more resignations, more convicvtions, more jail time tnan a simple impeachment could EVER have..

and REMEMBER THIS... if he's IMPEACHED and REMOVED, that's considered punishment... wouldn't you rather wait and on 1-20-09 see him walk into the waitinga arms of several dozen criminal suits? (or maybe several THOUSAND wrongful-death cases??)

8. I do not think anyone here is looking for an immediate impeachment without a due process
but I would hope that Rep. Conyers' earlier subpoena(s)would have to followed-up on and put forward as basis for impeachment.

16. I read online that Liberals are hyperventilating over impeachment.
Impeach Bush the first week and then have him not convicted the second week. The screaming and salivating has gone on for months, long before the Democrats had even taken the House and even had the ability to impeach.

18. Bullshit.
Everybody calling for impeachment are calling for investigations and due process.

The only people acting like madmen are the people saying we shouldn't impeach period.

10. I hear more screaming right now from anti-impeachment people...
...than from people arguing for it. Don't worry about people using the word "impeachment" already, it's going to happen eventually. Pregnant people don't wait until they have a baby to say they're going to have a baby for fuck's sake. Lighten up, everybody.

15. I am screaming "IMPEACH BUSH!"
We got to get the ball rolling, right? :D

I am not willing to wait until next hurricane season, and doubt Conyers will either. They have the papers already drawn up.

The task is now up to We The People to 'force' them to call for investigations and then impeachment hearings. We must demand they act according to our will, or else they are no better than the refucklicans.

22. If Conyers does not jump through the immediate impeachment hoop,
many just might lose the will to live. Also, that would make the new Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, look stupid when she has just said that impeachment is off the table. If it is to be on the table, let hearings and investigations put it there, not starting off with impeachment hearings. Otherwise, enjoy the power for 2 years and then prepare to be a minority again under another Republican president. The American people expect more than impeachment.

11. I'd rather get some good health care legislation passed than have impeachment.
We have two years, who knows what will happen in 08. Why waste time with impeachment when we can do some good with the power we have? I think we should have hearings on all the shit that went on since 2000 and let the public impeach Bush in the court of public opinion.

did you forget * still has a veto power? I doubt the AMA and the Insurance companies would allow George to sign such legislation, even if such legislation passes on both houses.

Why drag Pelosi into it? You don't know what she is thinking and planning. You haven't got a clue.

Conyers has the impeachment papers ready to go. Oh, 'What does Conyers know anyways?'

Without Congress, Dumbass can do nothing. No more tax cuts for the rich, no more rubber-stamping, no more Social Security "fixes"...the list goes on and on.
