Most Americans say CORRUPTION MATTERS. So smart Dems will run an anti-corruption candidate? |
|

No.....not if some of the corrupt ESTABLISHMENT Democrats have their way.
They will DOWNPLAY corruption as a major issue. NONE will want the candidates talking about opening the books on BushInc, because it's bad for them, too. They've covered up for Bush1 in the past and they know they'll need to cover up for Bush2 come 2009. So their chosen, trusted few will be put in place to contest for the presidency.
They will target and tear down anti-corruption, open government Democrats. No wonder they have allowed the corpmedia to get away with their lies instead of fighting them whenever the target is an anti-corruption Democrat.
Well, this fight is going to stay ON, because the American people have spoken LOUDLY and CLEARLY in the exit polls that CORRUPTION IS A MAJOR ISSUE.
Dem strategists can pretend all they want, but the candidate who tells the people they'll fight for an open government that gives the American people the truth they need as respected CITIZENS will win the majority of votes of the American CITIZENS.
People are tired of being MANIPULATED by rhetoric just to get their vote. They want the responsibility of CITIZENSHIP, not more gilded rhetoric meant to manipulate their 'feelings' as voters.
If they did, they wouldn't have made CORRUPTION a major issue - both Democrats AND Republicans. Listen to the people and be HONEST with them, Democrats.
Like Robert Parry states: Hey Democrats, Truth Matters!

1. it won't be Blagojevitch of Illinois, that's a given. |
|
I can think of a few others, too. Also from Illinois. At least one popular person on the bubble managed to do the right thing with a speedy, public and loud apology for his poor judgment (that being Mr. Obama).
I would love an untarnished person, (sex race and beliefs being totally immaterial), who could drive through the landminds, crap and attack politics, and provide a vision, leadership, and more. But, according to some fairy tales, that guy who walked on water died several centuries ago, and is unlikely to reappear any time soon.

4. No such thing as a perfect candidate - the corpmedia made Bush into a heroic figure |
|
as a candidate in 2000 and made him into an even more heroic figure after 9-11.
They can tear down the best - - what matters is if you stick it out and keep at them till the American people sickened of the spin and the lies.
Now, a good, anti-corruption Democrat has a chance to be heard for the first time in many years. What will the Dem party establishment players do? TRY TO KEEP THOSE DEMS OUT OF THE LOOP.

5. And the coverup wing of the party doesn't want that to happen. |
|
Fock em. This country NEEDS the anti-corruption, open government wing of the party a helluva lot more than it needs another coverup for BushInc Dem administration.
