Well now I know the pukes are totally losing what little minds they had left.
Mom in law with a few of her friends ( all of whom are on SS and rabid repuke fans ) were talking about how they all are now in the dough nut hole of GW's prescription drug plan. Which means they pay full price for the drugs they need to stay alive. While talking about it I butted into the convo and "said yep you can thank GW for that". Mom in law and friends looked at me and said "oh no GW didn't do that to us, we saw Clinton sign it into law". I pointed out that the prescription drug plan started Jan 1 of this year. They looked at me stating, "well GW had to work out the Clinton mistakes in the prescription drug plan".

Then they changed topics to how these homeless bums all need to either be put in prison or forced to do community work for their food stamps. I pointed out many of those homeless bums were either workers that lost their jobs and a majority of them were once in mental hospitals. Without missing a beat they informed me that the best place for the mentally ill was in prison where they could get "medical treatment and when released they can find work", prison it seems is the cure all for repukes.

1. How the hell can a law that went into effect on January 1, 2006 ...
Edited on Thu Nov-09-06 08:04 PM by BattyDem
be connected to William Jefferson Clinton - a man who left office on January 20, 2001 - in any possible way??? :wtf:

I love this line:
"GW had to work out the Clinton mistakes in the prescription drug plan".

Even if they truly believe that nonsense, the FACT is that the plan is a DISASTER (after the so-called Clinton mistakes were worked-out) ... which is the fault of George W. Bush!

On edit: I'd love to know where they got the idea that the plan was Clinton's. I'm sure it's one of the usual RW media idiots - but I want to know which one of them specifically said it. :eyes:

5. I had to share that, I'm still having fits of uncontrolled laughter. They also hate DeVos because he
lied about what he did for Grand Rapids Mi. Old repukes can't seem to remember Leave it to Beaver was a sit com not a documentary about life in the 50's.

19. Well I moved here from Saginaw a year ago. I'm a product of 3 generations of GM
union members, My dad started working at Saginaw steering gear in 1951. My grand dad started working at Malibu ( probably spelled wrong ) Iron in 1941. My great grand dad started at the same foundry as gramps right after it opened after losing the family farm in 1906. Needless to say, I hate GR and the bigots that live here.

11. Kind of OT, but stupidity has reached epidemic proportions, it
seems. Some girl (late 20s) just walked into my cat hospital, which has a big sign on the front window the says Practice Limited to Cats and big sign on the side that says CAT HOSPITAL. She asked, "Do you guys treat iguanas?" with a straight face.

Our business cards say it. All our yellow Pages listings say it.

I guess some people think iguanas are a type of cat???

Patriot Action Plan

1)Hug your conservative wife and conservative children. Jettison all liberal or Rino leaning children. 2) Buy more firearms and ammunition 3) Buy bullion ( Silver rounds appear to be best value) 4) Turn off your TV. Ingest no media other than FR. 5) Rediscover yourself, not in a washed out hippie looking at your life's devastation way, but review your accomplishments. You are a valued member of FR society. 6) Obtain Crusade outfit/ Store 7) Buy a new American Flag 8) Read a book on the American revolution. Adams or Angle in the Whilwind. 9) Go to Barnes and Noble and take out all the subscription cards to Time and Newsweek and mail them in for processing. It costs them $4 to process each piece of litter. 10) Await The Call. Somebody important must step up and make it.

17. "Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?"
The clerk, in letting Scrooge's nephew out, had let two other people in. They were portly gentlemen, pleasant to behold, and now stood, with their hats off, in Scrooge's office. They had books and papers in their hands, and bowed to him.

'Scrooge and Marley's, I believe,' said one of the gentlemen, referring to his list. 'Have I the pleasure of addressing Mr Scrooge, or Mr Marley?'

'Mr Marley has been dead these seven years,' Scrooge replied. 'He died seven years ago, this very night.'

'We have no doubt his liberality is well represented by his surviving partner,' said the gentleman, presenting his credentials.

'It certainly was, for they had been two kindred spirits. At the ominous word liberality, Scrooge frowned, and shook his head, and handed the credentials back.

'They are. Still,' returned the gentleman,' I wish I could say they were not.'

'The Treadmill and the Poor Law are in full vigour, then?' said Scrooge.

'At this festive season of the year, Mr Scrooge,' said the gentleman, taking up a pen, 'it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the Poor and destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time. Many thousands are in want of common necessaries; hundreds of thousands are in want of common comforts, sir.'
'Are there no prisons?"

'Plenty of prisons,' said the gentleman, laying down the pen again.

'And the Union workhouses.' demanded Scrooge. 'Are they still in operation?'

'Both very busy, sir.'

'Oh. I was afraid, from what you said at first, that something had occurred to stop them in their useful course,' said Scrooge. 'I'm very glad to hear it.'

'Under the impression that they scarcely furnish Christian cheer of mind or body to the multitude,' returned the gentleman, 'a few of us are endeavouring to raise a fund to buy the Poor some meat and drink, and means of warmth. We choose this time, because it is a time, of all others, when Want is keenly felt, and Abundance rejoices. What shall I put you down for?'

'Nothing!' Scrooge replied.

'You wish to be anonymous?'

'I wish to be left alone,' said Scrooge. 'Since you ask me what I wish, gentlemen, that is my answer. I don't make merry myself at Christmas and I can't afford to make idle people merry. I help to support the establishments I have mentioned-they cost enough; and those who are badly off must go there.'

'Many can't go there; and many would rather die.'

'If they would rather die,' said Scrooge, 'they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."

21. Any way you can give them or send to them the truth
about the Medicare law and it's stupid donut hole? They need educated. Especially since the new Dem congress may just fix this and get them lower drug prices and these nitwits sound like they'll give Dubya and the Repukes all the credit.
