Anyone else get a video email thank you from their senator?

I got one from Cantwell thanking her supporters. Ironically, most of the emails or phone calls she usually got from me were angry ones, but I did vote for her in the end, even though I am still mad at her for her war vote.

I thought the email video was a clever idea. Probably the wave of the future. By 08, we'll all be complaining that they are spamming our mail boxes with negative campaign clips. Hell, we'll probably be spamming each other!

From my congressman, Maurice Hinchey. I expect to get a handshake and a pat on the back when I see him.

5. Congressman Hinchey

Is a friend. He ran unopposed, for the first time. I had to tell him, that even though he is the MAN, I couldn't vote for him because he was running unopposed, and that's not a real election. He was my State Assemblyman, and has been my Congressman for some time now. I occasionally help the local office with computer problems, gratis. He and I have had many a conversation about the way things were going in this country. He's a Liberal, and proud of it, as am I. I would not give away my computer talents to anyone for free, just for friends, and Maurice is a friend. He didn't think that we could pull off the Senate, but I told him to hold tight, it's not all in yet, and sure enough, we did it!

Once at a function we were at, I told Maurice that we have his back, so just go to DC and do what you do best. He shook my hand, gave me a pat on the back, and said, "Right on, brother!"

8. He will probably want to hold off sending his constituents video email

I thought it was kind of cool until I realized the potential abuse it will inevitably lead to. Soon all the junk mail will include video clips. The widow of a Nigerian president will be asking me for my kind attention and my bank account number...Viagra ads...the whole gamut of crap...ARRGGHHH....What has Cantwell unleashed?
