In the Democratic party?

You are doing absolutely nothing but a disservice to your own group.

Damn it, we are all Democrats and if you can't see that go dribble your bullshit somewhere else! Everyone else, have a nice Democratic day! :hi:

6. Because Democrats don't drink the kool-aid, salute and march off the
cliff. We quibble, shout, debate and, yes, even snarl and in the end arrive at a consensus. It's sometimes referred to as the democratic way or free speech.

7. And I don't have a problem with that.
I do have a problem with alienation though.

8. OK
But if people are alienated because Democrats are squabbling among themselves, they probably should find another party. That's what Democrats do and it's not about to change.

21. Oy vey indeed! It's so sad that common courtesy has gone the way
of the dinosaur here!

I can't help but wonder if that's really the kind of world that they want to live in..?

Thanks for trying! :toast:

I'll go to the back of the bus with the other people you don't like and shut up. Sorry for making my voice heard. It won't happen again.

24. NOpe, sorry...
It's totally different.

People in those times were at least civil.

It's fine to disagree.

Just so it's civil.

Tearing each other apart, is NOT what Will Rogers was talking about.

I really don't get why people can't get the difference between discussing difference of opinion, and hostility.

There is a clear difference.

Really, there is.

17. Been there & done that already.
People seem to be missing my point here though. I have no problem with discussion, I do have a problem with alienation. But then again some people here maybe thats what they just want to do.

20. Were you here for the '04 primaries? It-was-CRAZY.
My suggestion to you, if certain people annoy or bother you, use your "ignore" button. Me? I just ignore them by not clicking on their threads or posts. I've never had anyone on my ignore list....but I've been put on MANY.:) People deal with things differently. If they bother you, just ignore them.

22. Yes I was here for it, and yes afterwards I did take a break from DU.
I try not to use the ignore feature, but to something that happened last week I used it several times. It has to get really bad for me to use that feature.

25. Absolutely. REally, why is it so hard to grasp that concept?
There really is a huge difference between disagreeing with civility, and the kind of hostility and contempt that seem to flourish here.

Is that really the kind of world you all want?????

Thanks for trying, William.

I think I'll see if there's another planet now..
