RE-introducing Jerry Brown to DU - California's new Top Lawyer & Top Cop!
Edited on Thu Nov-09-06 11:54 PM by GreenTea
The republicans have always despised Jerry Brown...

In the past the Republicans have tried to downplay Brown’s liberal effectiveness.... labeling Democrat Jerry Brown, "Governor Moonbeam", because of Brown’s liberal compassion & extreme effectiveness in progressive ideology.

They always tried to shrug off & down play Brown, in the past, even recently, sometimes it’s worked....

No way will Brown won't let these republican polluters, environment destroying corporations and Diebold stealing assholes off the hook!!!

Jerry Brown is NOW THE TOP LAWYER & COP IN CALIFORNIA!

San Francisco's Brown, is the greedy republicans & corporations worst nightmare!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Brown

The republicans tried to stop Brown from even being on the 2006 ballot, reciting that Brown hasn't practiced law enough in the last few years and wasn’t qualified to be California's Attorney General (The past eight years Brown has been busy being Mayor of one of CA largest cities, Oakland).

So on with the usual republican tactics, trying anything & everything to get rid of their feared & hated Jerry Brown, before he even got started... …But Brown also has name recognition in California.... Among republicans, they wish they never heard of him, and thought they ripped his character so savagely that Brown was gone on a state level forever…Surprise!

The republicans & their corporations must now play fair, do the right thing, or they will undoubtedly be facing Jerry Brown in a court of law - representing the people of the State of California… and if Brown takes them to court, believe me, Brown will whip their republican asses!

Jerry Brown won his Attorney General seat with the largest percentage of votes (56.6%) than anyone running for a major state office in California this past Tuesday...including Arnold. http://vote.ss.ca.gov/Returns/atg/00.htm

Cheers for the new CA Attorney General, Democrat Jerry Brown & the new CA Secretary of State, Democrat Debra Bowen - Now we KNOW each one of our votes will be counted correctly in CA!!

2. I voted for him twice when he ran for governor
and again this time, as AG. I don't know what it like now, but way back in '77, my family and I were visiting the state Capital. Somewhate in the building, and I don't remember where, there was a row of paintings of all the various governors. Jerry Brown's potrait was the only one that was almost impressionistic(sp?,use?). Governor Moonbeam to the end. I thought he was a good governor, but I wonder if perhaps he had shone some leadership, prop 13 might not have passed.

Jerry Brown is great!
We wouldn't be in this mess if he had won the Presidency back in the day. I was a delegate for the guy and would do it all again.

10. Now THAT is cool news.
I didn't even know he was running. This should be very, very interesting. For those who are very young, he was also a Jesuit seminarian at one point in his earlier life. And he's been CA Gov., Berkeley Mayor, Presidential candidate -- anything I missed??

12. Not Berkeley mayor.
Mayor of Oakland, population 370,000, tremendously diverse in its neighborhoods and a model for the challenges faced by a world where the first, second, and third worlds mingle of necessity, in the best and worst ways.

He is a very interesting heir to the work that Elliot Spitzer has been doing.

He was mayor of Oakland. For a while we had the 'two mayor Browns' with Willie Brown, Mayor of SF and Jerry Brown, Mayor of Oakland on the other side of the bay. :)

That's where the Republicans savagely & unfairly ripped Brown...The Republicans didn't want Brown in DC as a Senator, with then, President, Reagan in office.

having Jerry Brown as AG nuetralized that somewhat. Brown is extremely smart, politicaly savy and ethical.
