BYRD HAS ROOM ON HIS MAILBOX!!! CALL HIM NOW |
|
I can't believe i got through--sunday night, almost 11:20 central time.
here's the toll free number: 888-355-3588
i told him to read through that constitution book he's always carrying around in his pocket before he let's alito go on the supreme court and turn bush into a unitary exe.
i told him how disappointed i was in him
i told him that if he doesn't vote NO on cloture then alito will be the legacy he leaves behind
HURRY AND CALL HIM!

5. try chafee too. i got through to his awhile ago |

i think i ended up pressing a number to talk to staff--i don't remember. i'm calling all the senators. there seems to be more room in republican mailboxes. i'm leaving them messages too (with the hope i sound a tad republican) saying:
i thought republicans are suppose to be the party of small government and alito is gonna order more government into our lives and take away our privacy rights,
he always goes in favor of big business instead of people and corporations don't vote
then i just learned about that unitary executive thing this week--and alito supports it. he could make the president into a king--and then one single man would be in charge of our military & he could take us into another war whenever he wants, or have the military go around and take our guns away from us and get rid of our second amendment rights.
(this is what i told the repub. senators) so i want you to vote no on cloture--stand back and let those democrats make fools of themselves or do whatever it is they are going to do, but i don't want alito on that supreme court. so vote NO on cloture.
(it was killing me to say some of this crap--but i really do want them to vote no on cloture)

Urged him to re-examine Alito, vote no, support a filibuster if needed and also to try and delay everything while Bush was under investigation. Hope he realizes the importance of all this.

I was going to tell his staff that I know a 30-year-old man who after election 2000 trusts only ONE politician in the country -- Senator Byrd -- and that Byrd had better not fully destroy the man's faith in the Constitution by allowing its destruction at the hands of Sam Alito's Unitary Executive.
