If for no other reason - to show history that he did not get away with with all the horrible things he has done without even barely a whimper from his opposing party - for no other reason than to force his official biography to include "the House voted to impeach George W. Bush" - shouldn't the new Congress spend one day on that vote? Doesn't anyone want to have the words "was impeached" etched permanently, even as a footnote, into GWB's life story? Isn't that enough reason to justify doing it? How can it possibly be considered a "waste of time?"

1. Without 67 votes in the Senate it would also say

"and in the Senate trial he was found not guilty."

3. His Bio Is Already A Disgrace!Republicans Must Not read!
Edited on Fri Nov-10-06 04:36 AM by DianaForRussFeingold
Unlike decorated military hero John Kerry, he did not serve in Vietnam. He did however support the war politically, as did many other wealthy elites who found ways to avoid risking their own lives. Letting working class Americans assume risks they themselves would not assume is the philosophical heart of conservatism.

After a career in business heavily dependent on elite personal contacts, favorable inside deals and government contracts, George Bush Jr. was elected Governor of Texas in 1994, defeating the popular incumbent Ann Richards, and he was re-elected in 1998. In 2000, he lost the popular vote of the Presidential Election to Albert Gore, but, through Republican Party control of the election apparatus in Florida, was able to force his slate of electors to be sent from that state (8 of 9 subsequent recounts showed Al Gore to have legitimately won Florida). On December 12th 2000, five Republican members of the Supreme Court issued an unsigned decision, Bush v. Gore, that installed him in power. Congress decided not to contest or investigate the election, and Bush was installed as Executive on January 20th 2001 in 1 5 to 4 party line vote by the Supreme Court of the United States.

http://www.rotten.com/library/bio/presidents/george-w-bush/ One of the very first things the administration did was convene a series of meetings with a bunch of high-level industry representatives to get their input on a new national energy policy. One key participant was Enron Corporation, a company with very long ties to George W. Bush and extremely well-represented in his administration. The Texas energy company's CEO, Ken Lay, had actually taken part in the transition process, helping to select members for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the government oversight board which regulates the energy industry. Also, several Enron officers wound up with cabinet-level positions, as well as appointments to less visible posts in his administration.
Bush and Enron and Ken Lay go way back. In addition to $113,800 for his Presidential campaign, the company and its CEO contributed a total of $146,500 to Bush's 1994 gubernatorial campaign. Covering their bases, they also gave a piddling $19,500 to the incumbent, Democrat Ann Richards. After the Enron scandal hit the fan, Bush attempted to mislead people into believing that he never had any particularly close relationship with Lay. The way Dubya explained it, Kenny Boy "was a supporter of Ann Richards in my run in 1994" who he barely even remembered meeting. Later somebody dug up a special birthday greeting that Governor Bush had mailed to Kenny Boy ....you know the rest of the mess he made and history has a way of distorting the facts..

"After a lengthy investigation by special prosecutors appointed by Senate and House Un-American Activity Committees, George W. Bush, Richard 'Dick' Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleeza Rice, Albert Gonzales, ( and others) were indicted, prosecuted and convicted of war crimes, treason and crimes against humanity."

6. I would like it to end like this:
Shortly after articles of impeachment were delivered to the White House, President Bush and key advisors and staff of his embattled administration flew on Air Force One to the Bush family ranch near Crawford Texas. It was there on that fateful day that, during an especially vigorous bicycle ride to burn off tension, that President Bush's bicycle struck and killed a jackrabbit, causing Bush to lose control and be flung to the ground. The impact causes several vertebrae in his neck to break, severing the spinal cord and killing him instantly.
