"Dad, get me out of this!"
Anybody else hearing Warren Zevon's "Lawyers, Guns And Money" as a soundtrack to the Boy King's troubles of late?

I'm the innocent bystander
Somehow I got stuck
Between the rock and the hard place
And I'm down on my luck

One wonders just when it was over this past year that Poppy (or his own Dark Lords) realized that Junior had made a bollocks of this latest job that his old man had gotten him, that it was time for (another) INTERVENTION.

Did Poppy read the entrails of the Dead Chicken Of Prophecy somewhere in April and see that Junior was in danger of overtaxing the War Machine--to the point at which it couldn't make cruise missiles and body bags fast enough to meet the demand?

Did he receive a Delegation Of The Disgruntled, who expressed their concern to him that another two years of letting the WLF* have his way with Congre$$ would surely mean the END of the Republic Party?

I was gambling in Havana
I took a little risk
Send lawyers, guns and money
Dad, get me out of this

Does Junior even know how bad he's derailed the gravy train this time? Or have the ADD drugs they've been feeding him since 9/11 given him (or just enhanced an existing) Superman complex to the point where Dad has had to seize the Throttle? AGAIN?

Enquiring minds want to know!

Now I'm hiding in Honduras
I'm a desperate man
Send lawyers, guns and money
The shit has hit the fan

2. Yes!
I thought poppy sent in baker to have a "talk" with dubya telling him he put him in the position and his report could take him out if he didn't start making some changes.

That is why I believe rummy is gone now. Baker's report would have embarassed dubya further! Not that I trust that baker/gates will be a whole lot better, but we can hope with Dems in control of Congress!

3. From Maureen Dowd in yesterday's NYT......
"Poppy Bush and James Baker gave Sonny the presidency to play with and he broke it. So now they’re taking it back".

Yep, they've got to bail junior out again from ANOTHER of his failed "enterprises". It's been the story of his life. He's failed at everything he's ever attempted and if it wasn't for Poppy and his pals he'd be living in a refrigerator box under an interstate overpass. "Fortunate Son".....the story of G.W. Bush. Born on third base and he thinks he's hit a home run. A man who's not qualified to be a night manager at a 7-11, given the reins of power and completely screwing it up. As usual. :eyes: What the hell were Americans thinking about, voting for this loser?

4. I don't know, you may be giving too much credit to boy george
I am not sure he was ever in charge. I think for the most part he just did what he was told, and the real power came form a management team that was run by Poppy bush from the beginning.
We may never know the truth, but you can bet that the neo cons have not gone away and still are a threat to our democracy.
