Don't assume for a minute that one conflict won't be replaced with another.

Remember Reagan trying to sell fear by arguing that the communist enemies could drive from their bases to the US in less than a day? Gates was one of the assholes feeding that hysteria back then.

Israel's deputy defense minister is threatening to attack Iran's nuclear facility. That could be an excuse to get things started before January.
