Anyone Have a List of Why Republicans Lost

O'Reilly claims the only reason Republicans lost is Iraq, does anyone have a comprehensive list of why Republicans lost. From Katrina to Jack Abramoff to Duke Cunningham to Mark Foley, the reasons are endless.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a website or an article that details the reasons why the Republicans got their ass kicked.

If not, maybe we could start a thread here with a list of all the reasons. And if someone already did, could you point me to it.

1. You've listed several.
But, I'd say Iraq is number one.

3. Exit Polls

The exit polls say Corruption was the top-ranked issue, 41% called it "extremely important." Six in 10 of those voters favored Democrats.

Terrorism, rated "extremely important" by 39%, worked to Republicans' advantage, but by just 7 points — not the slam-dunk that the White House envisioned.

The Iraq war came in 3rd, 36% called the issue "extremely important." Eight in 10 of those who opposed the war voted for Democrats; eight in 10 of those who supported the war voted for Republicans.

I want a list of every bad thing the Republicans did that were a reason for them losing the elections.

11. I knew that, Stew...just being a smartass
It seems to me, though, the list you look for really does start right here, with a group of childish, arrogant, sycophantic, greedy bastards who completely sold out their ideals, and leased their souls to the highest corporate bidder. Everything else that brought them down was just a consequence of their lack of faith in their own "republican" beliefs. From failing to perform due diligence in launching a war which was more of a hostile takeover than the businessman-in-chief and his board of directors bargained for, to gutting social programs in order to fund a $200 million bridge for snowmobiles and sled dogs, the "list" is so long as to be virtually the entire reason in and of itself...people just got fed up to the point of being afraid to turn on the television anymore. Not because of terrorists reports, rather they feared the next horrible outrage courtesy of the hypocritical, sold-out, out-of-touch band of thugs listed above, and their network of enablers like Ted Haggard and Mark Foley.

It was a cumulative effect. Still not what you were actually looking for, but now you have both the succinct and the verbose versions!

5. If you listen to CNN & MSNBC, they said their exit polls indicated
the most influential thing to the votes was corruption. I was watching CNN when Bill Schneider first made this announcement, and even HE said he was shocked! He said Iraq was certainly part of the decision, as was the economy, health care costs, and immigration, but the #1 influence was corruption.

8. funny isn't it? NOW they're willing to say Iraq is a problem, because to
call attention to that failure is BETTER for them to admit their own corruption.

10. Six years of malfeasance, incompetence, and corruption.
With Dead Grandma outside the NO SuperDome for days on end being the last straw. After Katrina, the lights came on for a lot of people suffering from fear induced lobotomies.

Other crowning moments: Iraq, any day; Terry Schiavo; Meth fueled ass sex by closet homosexual homophobe fundaloon leaders; Foley; Abramoff; OB Who?; torture as a neocon value; the war on science and reason; Lush Rumballs attack on Michael J Fox.........
