I think so. We ought to tell the current Congress that the troops get armor or Congress gets Filibusters until its passed AND SENT.

And, if they want to kill filibusters they way they had planned, let 'em.

5. Before... Troop lives are more important than political honor.
More important than borrowing, balanced budgets, our minimum wage, ...

And, we are many. We can do more than one thing at a time.

2. This would make the thugs look pretty retarded and anti-military.
We, the democrats want to send armor to protect our sons and daughters. Then the republicans say "FUCK 'EM!" Then maybe the right wing hardcore military voters will finally get the idea...and maybe break to the dems.

8. Bush remains in charge of troops. We can fund, not micro manage executive.
This we can do. We can slow the bleeding, maybe even stop it.

We are not in a position to order troop removal, yet. We need to Pentagon to agree on a plan and then push Bush. How extrication is effected is complex itself, not to mention how it will affect us for decades to come.

10. Yes, but you do know that the SecDef can move funding around
robbing one program to fund another. That's all part of the Unified Executive bullshit.

13. Yes, lying MICCs, buying Republicans make this DIFFICULT.
But, not so difficult that it cannot happen. CONs are stuck. They must keep supporting the Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex or they won't have re-election and under-the-table money that keeps their party going. Dems are not stuck on the MICC. It's their achilles heel, not ours.

CONs can be embarrassed into doing this, but it will hurt them and they know it. It will also hurt the MICC and they will scream loudly.

Still, threatening that:
It is apparent that Republican Congressional donors may have worked themselves into the decision process that forces our troops into improperly tested and possibly less effective body armor.

Might do it. CONs can look dumb now or look dumb closer to the next election.

12. That and Minimum Wage
The only two ideas that have next to full agreement.

IT would be smart to make the first big issues ones that will win overwhelmingly
