Will Fox News Channel Pundits Criticize Murdoch's Insensitive Comment?
Click here for the whole article -- including the non-reaction from Fox News' on-air pundits.

<snip>

"The death toll, certainly of Americans there, by the terms of any previous war are quite minute," Murdoch told reporters at a conference in Tokyo.

Is this how Murdoch supports the troops?

6. And yet we aren't blowing it to bits
to smoke out the gangs. That's always been the most obvious example of why the military strategy in Iraq is wrong. We'd never blow apart American cities to get a terrorist cell here or there.

14. I would think journalists would take even more umbrage with those comments...
Edited on Fri Nov-10-06 11:39 AM by calipendence
Since this war has had MORE journalists killed in it than all of the modern wars in this century (71).

More than Vietnam (63)...
More than Korea (17)...
and more than WWII (69)...

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/30/world/middleeast/30embed.html?ei=5088&en=462c70a747ca71b2&ex=1306641600&adxnnl=1&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss&adxnnlx=1163176288-wVLWoJgnWMw3fkzhfyfTsQ

And the reason we have less dead, is that we probably have more on average severely wounded than in other wars. Those amputees, etc. that are screwed for life would have died in past conflicts. That's just as, if not more horrible in some instances than many of them dying.

And we still have yet to see the effects of depleted uranium too.

(1) Limbaugh made it clear that they will lie and be deceitful when the stakes are high.

and,

(2) They have no reservations creating a black hole of death in some foreign country where our children are sacrificed to the terrorists. As long as the right-wing middle-aged lard butts can continue their privileged lifestyles here on this soil without interference, all is good.
