1. That was my favorite part of the whole Midtacular. |

I absolutely cracked up. :)
"We were THIS CLOSE to Jesus coming back!"
My favorite part was at the very end, when Colbert's driver tells him about the Democrats getting us stuck in the war. That expression of 'oh my god, that's the new spin' on Colbert's face is just perfect.

Love the subtlety:
"You people have one more chance, don't screw it up!"

Also, I believe they brought more than just young democratic voters to the polls. The problem hateradio has is that they're always talking to the same demographic: older, white males. And these guys just call and rant to each other about the same irritations. Jon Stewart and Colbert (and Olberman and Maher)seem to be reaching a more disparate demographic. My husband and I watch...and so do our 23-yr. old son and daughter. It would incredibly interesting to know just how much impact Colbert, etc. had on this election. You know the political operatives are researching this right now. Expect the right to come up with their own Colbert. Can the right get political comedy...right?

He doesn't say anything. He just sits there griping and self-medicating while the sidebox delivers the one liners.
