3. Getting ready to change the guard
He knew that his son was on the verge of a devastating defeat well before hand. Now Poppy gets to come in and clean up another of Jr's messes.

I expect to see a lot more of these types of things as they try to save whats left of the Republican party after the last election.

5. Yup.
He's been cleaning up after his dim-bulb son for sixty years. Simply amazing.

8. Pretty sad, isn't it?
If that had been my father, he would have cut the strings after I continually proved myself to be inept and highly unqualified. But just like so many corporate schills that I know, they are continually bailed out by their parents/partners because they are from the "social elite".

Although I don't have any respect for Poppy, I still feel like we would be in much better hands with him rather than his dimwitted son. * has no power now and would have most likely have come out swinging after the election, but the fact that he didn't proves Poppy came in and took over because he knew that if he didn't, it would be the end of the Republican party.

4. I could've sworn I heard Bush Jr. say on Wednesday
that he "found" Gates at the Crawford Ranch. Like he never knew him before at all.
