MSNBC poll: 87% want impeachment

Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment?
316353 responses

Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.
87%

No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors."
4.4%

No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.
7.2%

I don't know.
1.8%

2. Poll is almost a year old and has been linked to umpteen times.
It is even more unreliable than most online polls for that reason.

3. Yes, worthless.

However, I think that the pollsters all need to start asking this question.

Why? Because without sweeping public approval, there will be no impeachments.

Likewise, if there is no public support for impeachment, those of us who support it need to know that it isn't going to be in the cards. I think that Pelosi and Conyers might already know this, which explains their recent statements.

But let's be sure about this because if impeachment is being called for, we need to start down that path soon.

Myself, I think it isn't going to happen, and with good reason. We're probably going to have to take a different path. There are still many options available to us. Let's keep working towards the impeachment goal recognizing that it may be that investigations might be the only solution.
