1. Quite possible.
And if that's the case, they need to know their efforts are ineffective. I am so very tired of being told we can't do something. NO MORE.

4. It's those using the opportunity to bash Dems that get my pet goat.
Not to mention the old spidey-senses.

2. No. In my case - I just don't want big disappointment when alito gets
in. Though the spirit is catchy and if I was elected I would vote for it myself. I think the biggest job the Dems have is to get a majority in at least one of the houses. I do expect 95% of Dems to vote filibuster.

3. Yours wasn't particularly cynical, as I recall. My post is dirceted at
those who use their cynicism to attack Democrats and DISSUADE them from their duties.

6. Oh - I know I wasn't the worst. I just think the real fight - despite the
varied and small victories of the past year - is the elections in 2006.

I think too - with the overwhelming blog support for filibuster - it backs up those who do vote filibuster despite it being a risk to the 2006 elections (due to having more conservative districts) even when they cautiously at first didn't want to get involved.

As long as there is huge support against Alito & it is vocal. If anyone calls them obstructionist during an election they can counter that with "no we were demoractic". Why I think we are seeing some movement.

So get out the pots and pans.

The support for filibuster has to make it into the MSM news-cycle. The more the better. It will help Dems vote their consciences.
