MONDAY TO DO LIST to Filibuster Alito
Here is what we should do on Monday, January 30

CALL MONDAY. (ALL VOICE MAIL BOXES FILLED NOW.) FAXING GOOD ANY TIME
The phones will be ringing off the hooks. Keep on trying. Try local numbers if you cannot get through to DC

At 4:30 PM on Monday, Jan 30, the Senate will vote on how to proceed - the cloture vote. We need 41 votes for a filibuster instead of an up or down vote on Alito.

Here are the senators confirmed (as of this writing) to support filibuster. Don't bother to call them right now Kerry,Kennedy,Boxer,Clinton, Feinstein, Reid, Dodd, Feingold, Durbin, Obama, Stabenow, Schumer, Wyden, Sarbanes
There are rumors that there are many more. Stay tuned.

Request from Senator Kennedy

- These are the Democratic Senators Senator Ted Kennedy said (via http://www.dailykos.com/) needed to be contacted:
Pryor, Lincoln, Cantwell, Murray, Baucus, Harkin, Levin, Bayh, Lautenberg, Menendex, Lieberman.

- Also he asked to keep the pressure on Republican senators: Snowe, Collins, Chafee and Stevens.

You can email through web site. Calls and faxes better

Here are two excellent links for phones (local and DC) and faxes for other senators if you have time

By senator http://democrats.com/alito-48 Also lists what each Senator is doing re the filibuster. So if you want to call more than the above, go for it

By state (including staff names and numbers too) http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x262959

1. I Can't Believe Mikulski Isn't Publicly on Board Yet
Especially since Sarbanes is publicly in favor of a filibuster. I assume she'll come through, but you never know. Contacted her office for the third time today, this time by fax.

3. I've called them all.....
even though I had to try many, many times to get through.
That's a good thing!!!

Most say they aren't giving an answer right now.
I think that's their strategy, "no comment"
I THINK THEY WILL FILIBUSTER! They are getting too
many calls NOT TO!!!

KEEP CALLING EVERYONE!!!
WE'RE GOING TO WIN THIS THING YET!
