Olympia Snowe: On the fence
Just talked with a very nice staffer at Olympia's Auburn office. Said she HAS NOT YET MADE UP HER MIND but is leaning AGAINST the filibuster.

If you call they will ask for your full address, not just your zip.

Let's get Olympia to join the Good Guys on this vote...

2. Any DUer living in Maine(?) >>
If you agree, and provide contact info (name/address/zip) we will send a personal lobbyist to Snowe's office to speak in your name.

If she appears to be making the only unprincipled, immoral vote. To oppose BOTH Alito and filibuster.

She needs to be told this in no uncertain terms. This is exactly the kind of thing voter punish candidates for.

If you can be "the client" just PM (or email thedeanpeople@comcast.net ) with your info and we'll do the rest.

3. Called Portland office...
staffer said he "had no idea" how Snowe was leaning at this time. Asked him to add my name to the list encouraging her to join the filibuster like her colleague Lincoln Chafee...

6. Write to her at this web site
http://snowe.senate.gov/contact.htm

Even though I am not a Maine resident, I wrote to her as a senator whom I admire,
and someone I feel certain has serious reservations about this nomination, especially
at this time.

I urged her to vote against cloture.

9. The DC number sounds like "no circuits available" - I called the Bangor
office; the aide answering was polite and said she'd pass on the message.Maybe she will, who knows?
