Any word on SCIENCE in the House? (return of the OTA)
Has anyone heard heard about the return of the OTA?

Disbanded by the Gingrich Revolution in 1995, the Office of Technology Assessment was a very strong advocate of good science and sound advice to our congress. Republicans shot down its resurrection as late as last year.

You can hear mention of it here in Chris Mooney's 'The Republican War On Science':

In addition to restoring all of the oversight committees they have gutted, we need to reinstate this office.

Anyone heard anything on it?
