Did you CRY on the Phone to your DADDY Mr Bush? Or was there a COUP?
Can you see it? Can you see Bush on the night of the Election CRYING into the phone to DADDY? Finally giving up the Mano a mano bullshit and asking for HELP, like all the OTHER TIMES he's SCREWED THE POOCH?

Or was Daddy just a little voice on the other end of the line, "Don't worry son, I've got Baker on it.. he'll bring in all my Iran CONTRA guys and we'll FIX this, after all HE'S THE FIXER, remember how he gave you that election? Wasn't that a nice present? You've been very bad with all your TOYS now, tho, and we'll have to clean them up before you get dinner.."

Now we're seeing EAGLEBERGER? What's Next, Ed MEESE? In case no one is old enough to realise what's happening here, you are seeing what essentially is a RELINQUISHED GOVT, handed Over to BUSH SENIOR and HIS Cronies.

THis is a SILENT COUP, and I hope the Democrats fight it LIKE HELL. I DO NOT want to see yet ANOTHER FOUL STENCH in our White House.

His OWN SON is a COVER, oh he let him run wild for awhile, but believe me the Grown Ups are BACK, and they are VILE and just as CORRUPT, only SLICKER.

Beware. I've seen this show before, and know what? The American People didn't like THIS ONE either and sent HIM packing, they hired PRESIDENT Clinton instead.

08 is going to be very interesting, as yet ANOTHER Bush is going to be rebuked.

Daddy saw the writing on the wall and put things in motion.. this is a Family COUP.

I wonder why no one mentions that Baker is DEFENDING THE SAUDIES against the Families of the victims of 911?

Interesting how they are all falling at his feet in the media, eh?

I lived this:

As (CA governor) Reagan's chief of staff, Meese was instrumental in the decision to crack down on student protesters at People's Park in Berkeley, California, on May 15, 1969. Meese was widely criticized for escalating official response to the People's Park protest, during which law enforcement officers killed one student and seriously injured hundreds of others. Meese advised Reagan to declare a state of emergency in Berkeley, contrary to the recommendation of the Berkeley City Council, which led to a two-week occupation of the city by National Guard troops.

I saw tanks rolling down the streets of my town. Military encampments. I saw my friends beaten bloody with batons and helped the children from the School For The Blind try to run to safety when we couldn't breathe from the teargas spewed from military helicopters overhead after the Guard cut off all escape routes. It was ugly. Frightening. Deadly. Our town was occupied by the military.

Yes, I'm old enough to remember. I can never forget. I worry sometimes. A lot.

(Edit to add that fuck became Reegun's counselor to the President, member of the President's Cabinet and the National Security Council from 1981-1985 and Attorney General in February 1985-1988. Involved in the Iran-Contra Affair as a "counselor" and "friend" to the President. Is he dead yet, or are you right that he'll be nominated if Cheney finally keels over?)

28. He made "an Oedipal U-turn"
as Maureen Dowd so cleverly worded it.

Mr. Gates, already on Mr. Baker’s “How Do We Get Sonny Out of Deep Doo Doo in Iraq?” study group, left his job protecting 41’s papers at Texas A&M to return to Washington and pry the fingers of Poppy’s old nemesis, Rummy, off the Pentagon.

“They had to bring in someone from the old gang,” said someone from the old gang. “That has to make Junior uneasy. With Bob, the door is opened again to 41 and Baker and Brent.”

W. had no choice but to make an Oedipal U-turn. He couldn’t let Nancy Pelosi subpoena the cranky Rummy for hearings on Iraq. “He’s not exactly Mr. Charming or Mr. Truthful, and he’d be on TV saying something stupid,” said a Bush 41 official.

Poltergiest in the White House? by Symbolman of Takebackthemedia.com

I'm getting a picture in my mind.

It's that scene so famous in the Poltergiest movie where the little girl is kneeling in front of the TV between channels and saying, "They're HERE.."

Why?

Because they ARE HERE. Pay Attention. The "Poppyists" are BACK. Daddy Bush is sneaking in the back door of the White House, as Rummy flees through the front.

While we are all warm and fuzzy as Democrats, watching the TV Media honk like a gaggle of geese hot on the trail of a young boy's ass who wandered into the goose pen, the Bush Senior team is committing a 'silent coup' in our Govt.

Bush junior, that little waste product who runs companies into the ground and broke every toy ever given to him, is Relinquishing our Govt to his FATHER.

They are using the Bush Family FIXER to run a number down on the American people, and no one is paying attention. All of a sudden the Iran/Contra folks are showing up in DROVES, including their old buddy Manuel Ortega ( http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2006/11/08/MNGCCM81DS1.DTL&type=printable ) who just happened to show up on the old boob tube the other day, running for office again, as a Compassionate Contra.

Gates, Eagleburger, the same old crew. We're being traded out by the NeoCons for the old school Iran/Contra Team. So now we are supposed to Cheer that Baker will SAVE America? That the old family fixer is going to change juniors Diapers for us? Not a chance.

Doesn't anyone remember that James Baker orchestrated one of the biggest frauds in American History in Florida? Sent by Bush Senior as the "FIXER" once again.

And while the Media prattles on, "Gee whiz, we can't believe the American people just don't like the Right anymore. How could they settle for 'no plan' Democrats?" and STILL showing their Right Wing bent, we are all celebrating getting our Govt BACK from the Gang that couldn't Shoot Straight.

Well, while we're doing that, the Bush Senior Crew is descending like Vultures to tear away the game from the Idiot Son who has mauled it, but was never one to Clean his Plate, being born with a silver spoon in his Snout.

And that GAME is US.

No one recalls that Baker's Law firm was Hired BY the Saudis to REPRESENT THEM AGAINST the Families of the Victims of 911? ( http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp?id=1090180166698 ) Can you stomach THAT? I Can't. And I WON'T.

Isn't it ODD that he should do that? Isn't it ODD that MOST of the Terrorists according to THIS government were of Saudi Origin?

Doesn't that Represent a 'Conflict of Interest' in ANYONE'S mind? Does the Media report this?

Nope.

Should you know this?

Yep.

Let's just imagine these OIL MEN controlling or being controlled BY Saudis WHILE Baker, who has been put in charge of the world Forgiving Iraq Debt. (Code, slicing up the Iraq Oil Pie for his pals), having a foot in BOTH rather large Pools of OIL.

All while the Media just keep slapping it's head in disbelief over the election and letting us all know that WE voted FOR Conservatives, and NOT just because we hate Bush for killing our sons and daughter's for OIL (which he now admits to, that it WAS all about the Oil), and the enrichment of all those "Tooth to Tail" Military Reconstructionists, hiring corporations who DO NOT take an Oath to "serve and protect this country against enemies both WITHIN and without".

Firing Rummy and pinning War Crimes on him is just a Freakshow compared to what Bush Senior's pals have in store for us. It's part of the Three Card Monty game being played out before our eyes while the Media LOOKS THE OTHER WAY.

So now there are new noises banging around in the White House. New Ghosts, but familiar ones to anyone who remembers the Iran/Contra days. That KNOCKING you hear in the White House is not just Bush Junior's Knees. It's the Ghosts of Christmas past, and they do not come bearing Gifts. No. They're slithering down the chimney to steal all the presents under the TREE. They've done it before.

And they got away with it then. Let's not let them get away with it NOW.

They represent a nice big package, all tied in a BOW, running all the way back to when Baker assisted in the heist of the election, through 911 and right on up to the present invasion of the Poppyists.

Spread the word. INFORM the MEDIA. Demand ANSWERS about Baker and crew. Arm the Democrats. Tell them THIS WILL NOT STAND.

We did not vote in historic numbers just to have Bush "little boots" Junior throw up his hands and run crying to his daddy, dropping the mano a mano tough guy hysteria, and all of his broken TOYS, our Brothers and Sisters in Arms. In HARMS WAY because of HIM. Standing there in Iraq right NEXT to Halliburton thugs getting paid 5 times what they make, treated as McTroops by the Bush Junior Admin, and screwed on the way home by the defunding of the Veteran's Administration on the tail end.

We voted to THROW THE BUMS OUT.

And now they're sneaking in the back door. Be forwarned. They are SMOOTHER than any Oil slick Bush Junior has admired with Poppy, and like the Middle East folks like to say, "Don't let a Camel get it's nose in your tent. If you do, soon YOU will be sleeping outside, and the camel will have your bed."

*************

Should I post this as a seperate thread? Probably drop like a rock. People are still howling over their win, and rightly so, but missing what's going on in the meantime...

Greg Palast's book 'Armed Madhouse' points out that Baker has always been involved with plans for Iraq, Jr. just got stupid, defied his dear old Dad and went with Cheney and the NeoCons. Cheney has a finger in both Iraq plans, the NeoCon Plan B and the Baker Plan A.

The inside front and back cover of the book has it all spelled out in a summary entitled 'A Secret History of the War Over Oil in Iraq'
From this summation, some excerpts:

Intro:
Conspiracy nuts think George Bush, from the moment he took office, had a secret plan to control Iraq's oil. They're wrong. Bush had two plans. Here they are: One crafted by Neo-Conservatives at the Pentagon, another fashioned by the State Department and Big Oil. This is the history of the secret cold war between these two power elites, which drives the hot war on the Tigres.

February 2001: Plan A
Within a month of Bush Jr.'s first inaugural, the National Security Council and State Department convene a confab in Walnut Creek, California, to plan the invasion of Iraq. The group auditions replacements for Saddam. Host Falah Alisbury, a top US oil industry advisor on Iraq, says one plan was for "an invasion that acted like a coup....shut down for two or three days...then everything is....as is." As is, "especially in the oil ministry, which would retain the government oil monopoly.

December 2000 - March 2001
James Baker III Institute and the Council on Foreign Relations, sponsored by Saudi Arabia, to map global energy plan. The bug in the soup: Saddam Hussin, who's jerking the oil markets, "posing a difficult situation for the US...requiring an immediate policy review - military, energy, economic, diplomatic." In March, Baker-CFR group member Ken Lay and other industry chiefs meet secretly with Vice President Dick Cheney. They review this map of Iraqi oil fields.

October 2001 - Feb. 2003: Plan B
Emboldened by the September 11 attacks and ease of conquering Afghanistan, neo-conservatives draft their counter-plan: a yearlong occupation to re-make Iraq into a free-market miracle. The 101 page secret program becomes a Christmas tree for insider lobbyists, including Grover Norquist, who help load it with corporate goodies: copyright protection for Microsoft and Sony, and the CPP (" Comprehensive Privatization Program") to sell off "all" state assets, "especially the oil".

September 2002
The purpose of "privatizing" Iraq's oil in Plan B, "The Economy Plan," is laid out by Ari Cohen of the Heritage Foundation for neo-cons at the Pentagon: Destroy OPEC and the Saudis. Oil privatization is the key, " a no-brainer" : abolish Iraq's state oil monopoly, sell their fields, ramp up production beyond the OPEC quota, destroy OPEC, crush oil prices, and bring Saudi Arabia to its knees. Plan B promoters: neo-cons Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, and Harold Rhode, boosters and members of the Project for the New American Century.

(skip a few paragraphs about the actual start of the war, and President Bush broadcasting his message to the Iraqi people at the onset of the war 'Do not destroy the oil fields') Jay Garner is also fired for resisting the neo-cons 101 page Plan B.

September - October 2003
US oil industry chiefs block oil field sell-off. Phil Carroll of Houston, ex-CEO of Shell Oil USA, arrives in May to take charge of Iraq's oil ministry; tells Bremer, privately, there would be "no privatization of Iraqi oil...end of statement." Leaving in September, he passes control ot Houston buddy Bob McKee, Chairman of Halliburton Company and former SVP of Conoco Oil, McKee orders a bullet in the head to oil privatization: a write-up of Plan A (Baker and State Dept.) re-establishing a state oil monopoly.

November 2003 - January 2004
Amy Jaffe of the James Baker III institute, along with oil industry experts, secretly writes up details of original "Plan A". The 323 page Options for Iraqi Oil for the State Department contains only one option: a state oil company that would enhance (Iraq's) relationship with OPEC." Privitization and OPEC-busting are out. the neo-cons are kept in the dark about the new policy guide.

May 2004 - March 2005
Dick Cheney sides with Big Oil over the neo-cons. May 20: Ahmed Chalabi sought for arrest on espionage charges: his "governing council" is shuttered, replaced with "sovreign government headed by Baathists blessed by the State Department. Pentagon favorite Bremer is booted for John Negroponte, Big Oil's friend at the State Department. Wolfowitz is removed from the Pentagon. The Council on Foreign Relations rejoices, 'The realists have defeated the fantasists!" Pro-OPEC Baathists fired by Bremer and Chalabi now return to run the oil ministry and establish a state oil monopoly. OPEC is saved. Oil prices bust over $50. a barrel and reserves of top five oil companies increase in value by over $2 trillion.

February 2005 and Beyond
The wheel turns again. Negroponte replaced as US viceroy for Iraq by neo-con PNAC favorite Zalmay Kalizad. Chalabi returns to power with Shi'ites, names himself temporary oil minister, fires Big Oil's favorites - but does not dare privatize oil fields or bust OPEC. Crude oil prices rises to over $60. a barrel.

So, in summary of Palast's summary. The war and occupation of Iraq has always been about the oil, but what we may not have realized is that Jim Baker has always been involved and there has been a constant secret behind the scenes battle between Big Oil and the Neo-Cons with the American and Iraqi people and the soldiers in Iraq being the losers. Jim Bakers public appearance on the scene now belies the fact that he has always been involved since the very beginning and his motives are no more to be trusted than Donald Rumsfeld and Cheney's. Its just been pro-OPEC war profiteers against anti-OPEC war profiteers, none of these people ever had the 'hearts and minds' and freedom of the Iraqi people on their minds ever. The book is very interesting, has a whole chapter on James Baker. I'll try and post some of the juicier information about him in awhile. I wouldn't trust him.

Palast is one of the BEST we've got and I've had lunch at him home, a real COOL guy, he'd just got back from England, trying to return to his country that he loves so MUCH.

I once stuck a pic up on a Corkboard of James Baker in my house and wrote, "This is the most dangerous man in the world" and THAT was in the 80's.. Rove is a Boy Scout compared to this guy.

And for those that say that guys Like Negroponte, etc have been eeking their way into this govt, sure, but LOOK how BLATANT it is NOW, and this calls for Blantant ACTION - they need to be EXPOSED, pick up the ROCK and shine the SUN on them..

and if the New Dem control says they want "Transparency" well then, let's HAVE IT, no TIN FOIL in the FACTS, eh?

Thanks BunnyPlanet, ALWAYS enjoy your posts!

akin to Soylent Green... though THEY prefer to eat humans alive.

47. is anyone else concerned about the fact that...
...the father of the POTUS can apparently impose his own appointees to the cabinet posts and administrative positions?

Think of it in terms of the Constitution. How can this be? There is no authority for it.

51. That's the Problem I have with this
WHO the HELL elected Bush SENIOR to fill Cabinet Posts?

There has to be some kind of precendent for this, maybe Prez Adams? Though as I believe it to be, he wasn't a flaming asshole bent on the destruction of the country for OIL. Maybe Whale Oil :)

I think it's time to get some Constitutional Scholars on this stuff, if someone will TALK about it, which is why I'm screaming Holy Hell.

This IS NOT KOSHER.

Thanks for the insight.

55. Maybe there was more of an abdication than a coup.
Maybe behind closed doors he agreed to his dad taking control. Maybe bush jr knows he isn't up to the job.

45. I'm still waiting for the OF MICE AND MEN moment between
Papa Bush and the Tard:

"Hey, daddy, remember how ya used ta tell me about them Iraqi oil fields? Oil so easy to take you can scoop in up with a coffee cup?"

"That's right junior...You close your eyes and think about those oil fields. And don't worry, I won't let them impeach you, or ask you any hard questions. You'll never have to answer a question again..."

And while junior is curled up in the fetal position asleep, Papa gestures for E. Howard Hunt to come out of the shadows...

49. it's been daddybush's crew from day one
Clinton was only an 8 year interruption of the reagan/bush/bush regime/legacy/syndicate.

coup number one, JFK, coup number two, reagan, coup number three, 2000/9-11, and the coup de tat keeps on sliding into hell with us in tow.

53. Okay, I will spoil the continuity of this thread
Poppy = Paleo con

Shrub-Rumsfeld-Cheney = Neo con.

Paleo cons were against attempting to conquer and occupy Iraq.

Neo cons were in favor of conquering and occupying Iraq, Iran and Syria.

Neo cons failed miserably resulting in loss of republican power.

Why is it bad that the paleocons are coming in to attempt to get us out of Iraq. Because, they are realists and understand that the neocons work in a fantasy world.

I would rather have paleocon mafiaso working to extricate the troops from Iraq than neo-con mafiaso attemptint to keep troops in Iraq under the delusion that they would be able to successfully steal their oil.

In other words, if they can get us out of Iraq, why the fuss? Because they arent pretty and clean?
