23. The tax cuts that bush

tried to make permanent are to the ultra wealthy. We live in a country where 10% hold 90% of the wealth. Those cuts benefiting the top 2-3% don't do nearly as much for the mere millionaires like Martha Stewart, as they do for the legacy yale and harvard class.

I live almost paycheck to paycheck, for most of my like it was not almost. I grew up in South Point, Ohio, the son of a union steel worker, left school for the military and have lived on the streets for lack of a home. I make 70G/yr, I am a redneck liberal and I can take a joke.

Perhaps the problem in america is not the mere millionaire who worked hard and invests in the community by providing jobs, despite the increasing intervention of government regulation requiring a comprehensive environmental impact study to pass endless review from overburdened and underpaid policy wonks prior to the permit approval for a new ice cream stand.

Maybe the problem is that it is easier for the mere millionaire to invest his money in the stock market and earn a better return with no employees to provide for. While the Megamillionaires who wrote the tax policy and the environmental regulation now has the mere millionaire's money to invest overseas in Taiwan.

I don't have any problem with a redneck enjoying a little of his hard earned cash, most of us will never have that option.
