What's with all this infighting I'm reading about! WE WON! Liberals and moderates banded together to
WIN!

I'm still very excited about what happened in this election, and I'm really looking forward to January! Why can't the moderate leaders and liberal leaders congratulate eachother on a job well done rather than battling eachother right after the biggest election victory in a very long time?!?

The bottom line: In 2006, moderates and liberals are just about the same thing. RW talk show hosts talk about moderates like Jim Webb, Jack Murtha, and Dianne Feinstein the same way they talk about Howard Dean, Maxine Waters, and Barbara Boxer. We are opponents of the right wing, and we just DEFEATED them! The country had shifted so far to the right, that what was once moderate is now considered left-wing. There were tremendous victories this Tuesday for both moderate Dems and liberal Dems. The country is better off as a result. The troops will be better off. Working families will be better off. It will be harder for Bush to put far-right justices on the bench. The country took a step away from the radical right wing this week. This is something moderates and liberals can agree on and should both be very happy about! I'm happy for both Howard Dean and Rahm Emmanuel. I'm happy for both moderate Democrats and liberal Democrats. So let's stop this liberal vs. moderate, DNC vs. DLC nonsense and savor our victory!

1. Uh-oh! I'd suggest you duck. The circular firing squad is like the Energizer Bunny.
It just keeps going and going and going and....

I'm with you, though. Absolutely. This has all been nonsense and incredibly damaging to everyone.

3. Fighting amongst allies is not good strategy

especially right after a victory!

Honest and respectful debate is one thing, fighting is another,
and I think it is poor strategy to even debate right now.

The last thing we want now is for the RWers to say,
see, they're already fighting with themselves.

Let them fight each other.

The elections are not even over yet, they are stealing
Harris's (former) seat and donations are needed, see this thread

Let's close ranks, the fight is not over.

4. Old news-yesterday's news.
Now that we know whom we'll be working with, we have to fight it out to determine what the issues are, what gets priority and how to create it.

We are a big tent and were willing to subjugate our individual obsessions for the good of the country.
That job's done for a few months so we are at least a little free to push for our own know-it-all way of solving all the problems of the world.
