Seems odd for a political board.

The people least likely to engage in political activities are: blacks, people under 30, especially women under 30. Women under 30 and blacks are the least likely to read newspapers.

Sportsfans are engaged in politics fairly highly. That's why you'll see political ads on during sports.

Hell, Charlie Peters and Joe Rauh stopped whatever they were doing to watch the Redskins every Sunday. Charlie still does from what I've heard.

BUT, it's ludicrous how few women avatars there are. And the fact that they keep the rapist from Clockwork Orange offends me.

25. I don't buy that women under 30 aren't engaged in politics

I'd have to see the study and sample selection. I know for myself and many of my friends, the college and graduate school years were the prime time to not only talk about politics but to get involved in marches, fundraising, etc. I know I was heavily involved, especially in my late 20s and early 30s. I am still involved, though not as much.

The idea that sports fans are interested in politics bothers me; there's the possibility that they approach public service and the future of the nation merely as a sport. Politics is the means to an end, not the end itself. The end, hopefully, is good governance that reflects the will and best good of the people.
