Cite me the safe information from magazines, journals and books that don't have 18 year olds with their legs wrapped around the necks and their fingers in their... well... not their pockets, and I may be able to take it seriously. I'm not saying Obama is a saint, or even if I think he should run for President. But an excerpt from Hustler without any cited sources confirming all that they claim doesn't convince me.

14. So The Real Man Isn't Superman? Oh No!!!

All it took was a look at Obama's voting record as a moderate in the Illinois legislature and his backing by the Cook County Democratic machine to tell you he was never a Progressive...or at least this re-incarnation of Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy in one body. He's a centrist...socially liberal while fiscally conservative. Many of us in Illinois knew this and I was always amazed at how the image that many had built of the junior Senator was nothing like the real man.

Any talk about Obama running in '08 is ludicrious. He has no record to run on and no real power base other than celebrity to play off of. He'd get crushed by the better funded and organized operations in Iowa. So hopefully all this hoopla will subside and he'll get back to work...and we'll see how he acts and grows in a Democratic dominated Senate.

I find a lot of this article a hatchet job on the man...attempting to paint him as the anti-liberal. That he is not. He's a centrist...a moderate...always has been, always will be.
