3. I think he means on tonite's show.
Another thing that surprised me is that he didn't even mention CNN messing with his interview. Now with a guy like Maher, CNN doing something like that would piss him off to no end. It's not like him to not bring it up...

4. nope, there was none, the show was pretty disappointing
but not because of the, more because they had crowley and the independent guest pushing hilliary clinton for president in 2008

I hope that doesn't happen, but the republicans are pushing it very badly

and with carville trying to make DNC takeover, I wouldn't doubt who they would push

5. they can PUSH all they want....
she's not getting anyone in my very democratic family rooting for her, even though we like her generally, there's far superior candidates out there (Gore, Clark) and more exciting ones (Obama, Edwards).

18. And many dark horses who haven't even shown their faces.
After all, it's a whole damned year before we even begin making anything close to a serious consideration of who is running.

Relax. This is still 2006. The Presidential election is two years away.

10. That was the worst show he's ever done
The guests were like night of the living dead. The most disappointing and boring show ever. :boring:I too thought he was outing more gay hypocrite repukes. Why would he say that on Larry King and then not do it? :grr:

6. Well before Mahr "outed" Mehlman, I thought i was common knowledge
that "everyone"new he was gay going back to when he first got the job. To try & counteract they displayed photos of a fabulously dressed Mehlman doing the boogie on the dance floor, with some real, live girls dancing in his area.

I'm sure someone will eventually remember who it was.

11. He talked to (R) winner from Arizona, and closed by saying "and you're gay."
Edited on Sat Nov-11-06 12:21 AM by Atman
Maher asked him why conservative Arizona voted for against a ban on gay marriage and the guy admitted that it kind of stumped him, but that he likes to think the people of Arizona are just accepting of everybody. To which Maher said "and your gay" and he said good night to his guest...but he did repeat several times that he was just kidding. Seemed pretty innocuous to me. The whole show was week because Salman Rushdie had a totally clueless actor and Candy Crowley to as his discussion partners. Crowley repeatedly referred to the democrats in the third person, as if she were talking about an invading force on our soil. The actor dude thought he was being deep, but just spewed nonsensical historically inaccurate bs just to fill the dead air.

I was hoping for so much! Bill had such great material to work with, and a totally lousy panel of guests.

16. That comment was pretty funny
and strange. Rep. Jeff Flake (R) is a Mormon from rural AZ, married with 5 kids.

14. I think it has to do with his talking about Mehlman
on CNN. I have no proof at all but just wondering if Bill was threatened by lawyers or something. Just the way it all dissapeared from the transcripts and then he didn't mention it tonight. There is NO WAY a normal Bill wouldn't have made fun of Mehlman stepping down the day after he talked about him. In fact I was looking forward to a good joke about it.
