1. Virginia and we won there!

3. There was never any one state that "had" to be won. Pickup of plus 5 was needed:

The two that were considered likely pickups before the election were PA and RI because the Democratic candidates were polling strongly going into the election.

The others that were considered "in play" were TN, VA, MO, and MT.

Assuming that any wins were going to come from this group of "likely" and "in play", then we were probably going to have to win 3 out of 4 of the "in play" states. TN happened to be the odd man out, and we won the others.
